We have a home with four bedrooms (although we use one as a study but it has a single bed that can be used for sleeping), kitchen, dining room, sun room, and family room. We have a private back yard with a large deck and secluded patio in a quiet neighbourhood, close to shopping, and a short bike ride or car ride to downtown. We have numerous fruit trees and a large garden area. Underground sprinkling system is employed so watering in the yard is minimal during the warm weather.

Kamloops is three and a half hours from Vancouver, on an excellent freeway, and is within a days ride to the scenic national parks such as world famous Banff, Jasper and Lake Louise. Wells Grey Provincial Park, one and a half hours away, has been put forward as a world heritage site.

Kamloops, featuring clear sunny skies through most of the year, is also on the British Columbia wine trail, with B.C. Okanagan recognized as a top rate wine growing area in the world. As well, Kamloops offers multiple sporting opportunities with skiing, golfing, hiking, tennis, and water sports such as kayaking, swimming, white water rafting, water skiing, tubing, etc. There are 200 accessible fishing lakes within a 50 mile radius of Kamloops, where you can fish for the world famous Kamloops Rainbow Trout.

In winter we offer a skier's paradise. Sun Peaks is a renowned skiing facility and is used by several countries as their Olympic training ground. As well, Sun Peaks has year round activities including mountain biking, golf, and hiking into the beautiful alpine meadows, covered in wild flowers July and early August. Kamloops also offers music and the arts. There are theatre festivals, several museums highlighting local history and culture, a local symphony, and free Music in the Park all summer long.

We are close to the river but Sun Peaks Ski Resort is an easy drive away. You can enjoy skiing in the winter and wonderful hiking or mountain biking in the spring through to the fall. Our area is semi-arid therefore, we have a good deal of golf courses in the area, which operated about 9 months of the year. Due to the warm climate, we have wineries in our area, which spread throughout the Okananagan valley. With the mountains, rivers, and many lakes in our general area, we have river rafting, fishing, zip lining, and all water sports. The beautiful Wells Grey Park is an hour and a half away and has stunning scenery. Take in the old west at Hat Creek Ranch which is approximately the same distance away in a different direction. We are ideally situated between Vancouver ( 3 1/2 hours away by the Coquahala or about 4 1/2 using the Duffy Lake Road where you will access beautiful views. From Kamloops you will be able to drive on to either Banff or Jasper. Both are a days ride away. Along the way, stop to have a picnic and hike through some of the many parks along the way.

No smoking inside. Please advise us of the number of people that will be using our home. It would be appreciated if potted plants inside and out could be watered. We have an underground sprinkler system which takes care of most of the watering during the hotter months.
