Nicholson is the name of our little area south of Golden. We have the cheapest gas in town and The Ranch campground where you can walk for an ice-cream treat. The lazy Columbia River is one km down the road from the house. There you can fish wade or paddle/float into town. If you enjoy looking for rocks, the riverbed around Canyon Creek is 1.5 km away and fun for families. A hidden swimming gem is a 20 minute bike ride up and along Moonraker Mountain. This warm, secluded pond is utilized by a private campground (so no cars allowed). It is a perfect spot to dive in, swim out to the floating platform, and cool off part way through a ride. Did I mention friendly neighbours? We have those too!
