Beskrivelse av hjemmet vi tilbyr å bytte bort
We are in a rural area of Vancouver Island. Our home is situated in a small orchard and garden (almost half acre or .2 hectare). There are 45 different varieties of roses on the property, a walnut and filbert tree, fig trees, three apple, two pear, grape vines and berry bushes. Lots of tomatoes and garlic as well. The property is surrounded by tall cedars on two sides. The house has two bedrooms and a guest bedroom with two beds. There are washrooms on each floor.

Beskrivelse av vårt nabolag og området rundt
Located in a rural area, on a point of land surrounded on three sides by Baynes Sound. House is a block away from the ocean. A conservation area is a short walk away. There are no street lights here, so in the evening you can see the stars really well. Very quiet area with a high proportion of retirees. There is a pub, corner store and gas station within a five minute drive away in Buckley Bay. Grocery stores and malls are a 30 minute drive away in Courtenay. We are located halfway on Vancouver Island on the east side of the island. A day trip to
the furthest point is only 3 hours drive and by the ocean the whole way.

Våre tips til steder å gå og ting å gjøre mens du bor i vårt hjem
The Comox Valley has more artists per capita than any other region of Canada. Drive anywhere and you will see signs welcoming you into their homes and studios. Fanny Bay is also source of the world-famous Fanny Bay oysters and you can purchase them fresh from the oyster farms. Our First Nation culture is present in beautiful art forms, language, dance and community and thrives on the whole island.

Hva vi liker, hva vi ikke liker ... Her er våre preferanser og husordensregler.
Our big garden is full and lush! Depending when you come 45 roses may be in bloom. Play in the garden if you wish or sit back with a glass of wine and watch it grow. If you're feeling creative the art studio is stocked with supplies and canvases. The fully equipped workshop and a supply of craft wood is yours to enjoy too. Take the car for a long drive down the island coast or a day trip to many beautiful natural attractions on our island. Lily, our cat cat is affectionate, playful and a source of much amusement.
There are no special rules here. It's a home away from home. We know you'll treat it like your own and feel it's yours for the time you are here.
Welcome!
Roland and Dianne
