What to do in Bruges? There are a lot of possibilities for walks or cycling tours and cultural activities.
In the period you are here, there are two wel-known music festivals in Bruges :
The ‘Musica Antiqua-festival’ and the ‘Moodfestival’. Both of them include also some free concerts in their programmation ( See ‘Exit’, out in Bruges)
The nearest coastal area is Zeebrugge, 15 km from here.
Bruges is a nice city with a lot of possibilities, but interesting for a one or more daytrips are also Ghent, Brussels, Antwerp : resp. ½ hour and one our with train or car.

In Bruges there are a lot of good brasseries and restaurants. In most of them you can also eat something : ‘t Park (Astridpark), ‘t Putje (Zand, tasty lunches), Nomad ('t Zand), Cranenburg ( old café on the market), café Vlissinghe ( the oldest café), L’ estaminet ( Astridpark, very good spaghetti), Du Phare (near the Dampoort), The Republiek (beside cinema Lumière in the St Jacobsstraat).
