From our house it is a short walk to busy cafes and shops. An excellent 27 hole golf course is just 2 minutes drive away and has a large resident kangaroo population. The club runs viewing tours for visitors. Ocean and bay swimming is available from many locations, accessible by foot or car.

Seafood abounds, including excellent local oysters and good fishing. 150 dolphins live year round in the bay and can be viewed from charter boats that also view humpback whales on their seasonal migration up and down the coast between May and October.

The famous Hunter Valley wine growing region is just over an hours drive away and the bright lights of Sydney can be reaches in 2.5 hours by car and also by coach.
