From Bonn station Cologne is 20min, Düsseldorf 1h, and Brussels 2,5h. The closest airport is Cologne/Bonn airport (20min by bus), but also Frankfurt Airport is only 1,5h. There are many activities and interesting places in Bonn and the surrounding area such as the old town of Bonn, mountains (Siebengebirge), Rhein promenade, close lakes, forrests or amusement park Phantasialand. Also the unique nature park Eifel is within a short car drive and offers several great day tours to historic towns, beautiful nature and (swimming )lakes.
