We live in a cottage in Lydbrook in the Forest of Dean. The house is comprised of a family kitchen with a large cooker, dishwasher , dining table that seats up to 10 people , fridges and a sofa. also on the ground floor is a utility room, with washing machine, sink for washing muddy boots and toilet. The snug has a wood burning stove and large corner sofa. It has a TV screen with an amazon fire stick so you can watch iplayer, amazon Tv , Netflix and other online services. Next to the snug is the playroom with upright piano , games and craft activities for children. This could also be used as an extra bedroom - it has a fold up single bed - but there is room for double camping matress if you require it . Upstairs there is our bedroom with king sized bed, our daughters room with double bed and the office / guest bedroom with pull out futon sofa bed. We have a large bathroom with bath and shower. Upstairs there is a door out into our garden , which is a sloped garden with a trampoline on a terrace and a flat outdoor eating area. Our house is typical of the Forest of dean , it is unique in style created from two houses being joined together. Opposite the house is a recreation ground with potential for parking . We have a cellar accessed from outside the house which houses our canoes. Out the back of the house running along the garden is a pathway into the Forest . We are a 5 minute drive from the river Wye an area of outstanding natural beauty , where you can canoe and picnic. Across the road from the house is a pub which serves food. There is a local shop in the village, a chip shop and another pub with an indian restaurant. We are 50 miles from Bristol 30 miles from Gloucester and on the border of Wales and Hereford .
