Vårt hjem

Beskrivelse av hjemmet vi tilbyr å bytte bort

Our house is a modernised single fronted terrace (1875 vintage) with an original façade and 2 story fairly open plan light filled addition. Apart from the facade and front room the remainder of the house was built new in 1993 and bathrooms and kitchen are therefore modern. It is currently set up with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and two living areas, dining area, bathroom & kitchen downstairs. The less formal back living area opens out (full width doors) onto a compact but quite private garden.

There is a separate fully detached two story one bedroom apartment with separate external entrance at the rear of the garden which is also available for use.

Our cars are an automatic Mazda CX5 (2019) and a Honda Accord Euro (2005).

Our house is in a quiet pocket of Carlton North/Princes Hill which is noted for trees, interesting terrace houses and especially for cafes and restaurants. Our street is very low traffic with ample on street parking. The nearest tram stop is ~250m as is the closest cafe.
We are only 3km from central Melbourne (15-20mins by tram or 40 mins walk), close to Melbourne University, major hospitals and Research Institutes and 5-20mins walk to restaurants, shops, cinema etc. The freeway and bike path networks are also readily accessible.

Our house is around 3km from the Melbourne CBD which is readily accessible by tram or is around a 40min walk. The Carlton area is noted for restaurants of all types. There are a wide range within 10-25mins walk or short tram ride. The Museum is around 25mins walk. We dine at a range of Asian (Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese), European (Italian, French, Irish), Middle Eastern and International depending on our day to day preference. The Nova Cinema in Lygon St shows a mix of current release and less main stream movies. Melbourne has an extensive network of cycle paths which pass within around 500m from our house.

The easy access to the Melbourne CBD and the theatres and sporting venues there (Australian Open Tennis, cricket, Australian Rules Football, Rugby etc) is also a major reason why we enjoy living in Princes Hill.
