We are a couple with grown-up children who no longer live with us but who are not far away from us here in Munich. I, Maria, used to teach English and German language and literature in Germany, the UK and the U.S. and I am now working as career and personal coach. Haimo used to be a photographer and is now working as IT consultant and software engineer. We love music, movies and the theatre, the arts, hiking and cycling. And, of course, travelling. The nicest thing about doing a home swap with Homelink really is meeting new people and, perhaps, even their neighbors and families. That's what we love.

Descrizione della casa che offriamo
We have a spacious 4-5room apartment (132 qm) in one of the most elegant parts of Munich, in Bogenhausen, in a quiet little street off Prinzregentenstrasse. The apartment is in a 1920s building on the third floor and has an elevator. Our loggia facing west will offer a relaxing sunny afternoon and evening after your day's trip. You will find our apartment a great place from which to discover the city. The city center with its famous museums (Deutsches Museum, Haus der Kunst, Bayerisches Nationalmuseum, Pinakothek der Moderne, Lenbachgalerie, Alte Pinakothek) are almost within walking distance and so are the theatres and the opera house (Nationaloper). Public transport is round the corner with buses, trams, the underground. A taxi stand is 50m away.

Our street is a very quiet, charming little street off busy Prinzregentenstraße, at the corner of which there is the famous delicatessen shop and restaurant "Kaefer's" with a taxi stand in front of it. Pharmacies, banks, cafés, a supermarket, a bakery, a butcher's, restaurants and bars are just a minute away, as are the Villa Stuck and the Prinzregententheater. Busses, trams and the Underground are just round the corner. It is the ideal place to go walking or jogging in the Isarauen along the River Isar and the Englischer Garten, to explore the city and come back to relax in our lovely appartment which stays cool in the summer and is cosily heated in the winter time.
