I am a lawyer, and I have two wonderful children, a girl (2004) and a boy (2006). We are an active family, (ski, bike, hike, camp, swim) and love the outdoors. We're very respectful of other people's homes and hope for exchanges with similar families.

Hello! We are a family of three: 1 adult and a girl 17 and a boy 15. We can travel at Christmas, spring break and during July and August for any length of time. We are open to travel anywhere in 2022-23.
Our home is modern, spacious, well furnished. There is a new top-of-the-line gas barbeque on the 300 sq. ft. deck. The lot is 1/3 acre, and there are lots of games available for your use and, tennis is just a block away. Our home is in the most central location. If you want to take public transit you can be downtown, at mountain trails or on the beach in minutes. By car you can be at the beach or in Stanley Park in 5 minutes. In the winter, you are 20 minutes door to door for skiing cross country or downhill at Cypress Mountain, or Grouse Mountain. We have incredible publicly available amenities, including a fabulous community centre with olympic size pool, and kids waterpark, gym, lots of fitness classes.
There are loads of hiking trails on the north shore, and up the sea to sky highway on the way to Whistler.

There are lots of beautiful parks and places to walk in this seaside community. Neighbours and locals are friendly and typically Canadian in their helpfulness. West Vancouver is an affluent community but it still feels like the West Coast, with lots of yoga spots, and you won't have any trouble finding granola for breakfast. There are loads of free public amenities (e.g. tennis courts) and the community centre (which looks like a club - but is public) offers low cost activities all year round. There's a bike path that connects West Van to North Van or to downtown Vancouver. You can take your bikes on the sea bus, to complete the loop, through Stanley Park, and over the Lions' Gate Bridge back to West Van. Be sure to stop at Thomas Haas chocolates on route!

Stanley Park, and the aquarium are a short drive across the Lion's Gate Bridge. There is also Science World, and Granville Island. There is Burnaby Village and the Shadbolt Centre. Downtown Vancouver has many theatres, and the Vancouver Art Gallery. There are great restaurants on Alberni St. and the Village at Park Royal in West Van is close with lots of shopping option and good restaurants.
