- Welcome to our home, located in one of the best places on earth, Peachland, in the heart of the southern interior of beautiful British Columbia Canada. Come and stay for a while and you can discover why we love our home and area so much.
Recently renovated, air-conditioned house is 2300 sq. ft. on 2 levels, with 3 bedrooms - each with ample closet space and a queen size beds. The large modern kitchen is open concept designed to cook and entertain. The dining room seats up to 8 comfortably. There is a large living room upstairs and a family room below on the first floor. We are on a large, flat, fenced lot which is nicely landscaped with green lawns, flowers and veggie gardens. Our home is modern, clean and comfortable; we consider it to be an excellent lakeside recreational home year round.
Peachland is a beautiful lakeside town nestled in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, located only a 4 hour drive from Vancouver BC, or 1/2 hour drive from Kelowna to the north or Penticton to the south. It is a popular holiday area with over 5 km of public beach access, dry hot summers and mild winters. Nearby cities of Penticton, Kelowna and Vernon offer additional shopping, restaurants, theater, and recreation opportunities.
Featuring a limitless range of tourist amenities ? Peachland is surrounded by wineries and golf courses, ski hills, sport fishing, big game hunting, provincial and national parks, and many other attractions are within short driving distances. Year round attractions and activities include: mountain biking, hiking, fishing, sailing, boating, sunning on fabulous beaches, swimming in warm lakes, 7 golf courses, 40 wineries, 4 ski hills, all within a 1 to 2 hour drive.
The Okanagan Valley is BC's summer playground with a 90 mile long lake just across the street and 1/2 block away from our front doorstep. In the heart of western Canada's international award winning vineyards and amidst fruit orchards of cherry, apricot, apple, peach, pears and more! The micro-climate of the Okanagan offers semi-arid, warm, cloudless days with cool mountain breezes.
If you want shopping or cultural activities, casino, or live music and theater, Kelowna (pop: 90,000) is only a 25 minute drive away. The vibrant fast growing town of West Kelowna is only 10 minutes up the highway. Both offer additional golf courses, luxury lake side resorts and fine dining as well as big box outlet stores, boutiques, pubs, cafes and restaurants.
You will routinely see wild game in the area, usually along the trails, if you're a hiker. Add to this, mountain and/or road biking, boating, sailing, kayaking, swimming, sunning, hiking, horseback riding, tennis, Zip Lining, ATV and wine tours and basically, you have an outdoor paradise for all!
