• A great home in a great location

  We had a wonderful stay in this lovely comfortable home in a quiet neighbourhood outside the beautiful city of Stirling. Wonderful restaurants and cafes nearby within walking distance was a great plus. It's a great base for touring Scotland - we were really impressed with Stirling, the wonderful castle and monuments, Loch Lomand and the Trossachs.

  We had a fabulous holiday in Scotland with daytrips to castles, lochs, the highlands, Edinburgh and our favourite the Highland Games. It was so nice to come home to your lovely house and garden for a relaxing evening and the kids loved to play outside in the garden. Bridge of Allan is a lovely, quiet town with everything you need and from the house you can see both the Wallace monument and the Stirling castle! Located in the "port to the highlands" it is easy to get around to many different kind of places like the ocean, the country side with it's rolling meadows and hills, lochs where you can swim and the mountains with whisky and gin destilleriers almost everywhere. The view is amazing everywhere you go. Scotland really took our breath away and we hope this was our first visit in many more to come. So much more to see and so many nice Scots to meet! Thank you so much Kate and Rod for this wonderful exchange.

  Rod & Kate have a lovely comfortable home in a great location ideal for visiting many parts of Scotland as a day trip.....Edinburgh, Fife, Stirling, the Trossachs, and further north for a couple of days or longer. We really enjoyed our short stay in Bridge of Allan, you won't regret visiting this friendly, pretty town.

  Thank you Kate and Rod for allowing us the use of your lovely home. We appreciated and enjoyed all you left for us. We loved Bridge of Allan and all the places we visited particularly the Kelpies and the area around Dunkeld. The scenery was great and the weather was mainly kind to us.   Our exchange with the McCreaths was superb. It was everything you could have asked for in an exchange. The home was clean, efficient, and welcoming upon arrival. Their nice car allowed us to take 2 to 3 day B&B side trips to the north, south, east and west to see lots of castles, distilleries and natural wonders. Bridge of Allen in Stirling shire was a efficient central point from which to access all of Scotland within a three hour drive. Bridge of Allen was quaint and had lots of fun hiking trails and good restaurants. We can not recommend more highly our exchange with Rod and Kate McCreath.
