  If you love sailing, climbing, walking or just lazing about by the sea then Taynuilt cottage is the perfect place for you. It is in the most magic spot possible - right alongside Toward Lighthouse on the holiday part of the River Clyde and just a short ferry ride away from Dunoon and a host of beautiful Scottish islands, including The Isle of Bute. Owner and artist Jane Crumless is a fund of helpful and kindly advice and Taynuilt is a charming old-fashioned cottage full of delightful and artistic seaside-decorations. We and our two children loved it and we all had a perfect fortnight. "Truly a Picture Postcard-By-The-Sea!"

  We absolutely loved our exchange with Jane and Stewart. They were so easy and efficient to deal with in setting up the exchange and we found their property in immaculate condition on our arrival. The property location is stunning, on the very tip of the Cowal Peninsuola and the slightly 'quirky' house was very comfortable and very tastefully decorated with an artist's touch! We had researched the area in advance and knew that we would find gorgeous views everywhere and were not disappointed. Driving was easy (roads so quiet by comparison to home!) and views of lochs, hills and the sea at every turn. Amongst other things we had a great boat trip from Crinan Harbour and enjoyed a day on Bute. Although we were a little unlucky with the weather it didn't spoil our holiday and our appreciation of a beautiful area. We would thoroughly recommend a visit to the area and can't speak too highly of Jane and Stewart as hosts of a delightful property.

  We had a great time at Taynuilt Cottage, a beautiful 19th century house that has wonderfully preserved the past times. Due to the mostly bad weather we could enjoy the cosy atmosphere of the house, but the rain didn't let us spend much time in the big lovely garden. What a pity.

  Taynuilt is a charming old fashioned cottage near the sea where you breathe the love atmosphere of a real family home. The house is very well cared for clean and cozy and is just behind the Toward lighthouse. The surrounding area, the Cowal, is superb and full of beautiful landascapes . Jane is an artist who makes charming pictures and sculputures made from sea glass, pebbles and shells collected from the shores of West of Scotland. it was a beautiful swap.

  Imagine a lovely, old, quiet (just songs of birds) and confortable cottage. From your bed you can see the lighthouse and ferries to island of Bute. Unforgettable! You visit castles, gardens, islands, villages... Jane is a charming hostess, when we arrived (late), dinner was ready and she made fire in the stove, beautiful and warm. Nice exchange, thank you.
