Five bedroom, three bathroom home in the upscale East Bay neighborhood Piedmont. House has master suite with large bathroom and private outdoor patio, two kids rooms with full sized beds, and a second bathroom upstairs. Upstairs also has a small office/workout room has treadmill and studio cycle and a washer/dryer just outside master suite.
Downstairs there is a guest room with a queen bed, playroom with queen sized sleeper sofa, and a full bathroom with a steam shower. Chef's kitchen, large attached living room, and front patio with large outdoor table in the front of the house. Large family room with TV, children's activity area, and bar in the rear of the house. Downstairs is wired with speakers, and all TVs and speakers are connected to Chromecast; PlayStation4 is available in family room.
In the backyard there is a large, solar heated pool (with automatic child safety cover), garden, and back patio with gas grill and fridge. Ample parking in covered carport and on street. Note: the pool is only available for use from May - October.
Great location, walkable to several shopping districts in Oakland, short drive/bike to many more. Quick drive, BART train, or ferry to San Francisco (20 minutes) and easy access to many destinations in Northern California (Marin, Napa, Tahoe, Yosemite, etc). Great way to explore the urban and natural beauty of the Bay Area and Northern California.

We are located in the upscale East Bay neighborhood of Piedmont, which is actually a small, independent city within Oakland. The city of Piedmont is very residential, quiet and safe; but it is also within walking distance of great shops and restaurants in Oakland (Piedmont Ave, Grand Ave, Lake Merrit). It is a short drive or bike through Oakland to the great neighborhoods of Rockridge, Uptown, Temescal, and more. With a quick BART train ride, drive, or ferry ride you can be in the heart of San Francisco within 20 minutes. We also have the amazing East Bay regional parks just behind us in the Oakland hills that include beautiful Redwood groves and huge, pristine, outdoor hiking trails. You also have easy driving access to destinations all over Northern California. Marin and Napa/Sonoma are only 45 minutes away, Santa Cruz and Point Reyes are only 1.5 hours, and Tahoe and even Yosemite are only 3-4 hours by car. The weather in the East Bay is generally warmer and sunnier than in San Francisco and the peninsula, so it is a great place to stay to get the best of the Bay Area.

I nostri consigli su cosa non perdere in questa zona
We are a short walk to Piedmont Ave and Grand Ave, both of which have excellent restaurants (including a 2 Michelin star restaurant on Piedmont Ave), shops, and two movie theaters; there are also farmer's markets every weekend. We are also within walking distance of Lake Merritt which is a beautiful place to run or just have a walk. We are just down the street from an excellent park that includes a Redwood grove and play area for kids. In the hills above us are several excellent regional parks that include a botanical preserve, a Redwood grove, and a volcanic preserve. This is just within a 1-2 mile radius of our house, within a 45 minute drive radius from our house you have San Francisco, Berkeley, Marin, Napa and many other great areas in the East Bay and SF peninsula. Within a 4 hour drive you can include Santa Cruz, Big Sur, Monterrey, Tahoe, Yosemite, Mendocino, and the central coast.

Absolutely no pets or smoking allowed in the house. We prefer that you take shoes off at front door. Please leave wet towels from the pool outside (fine to hang on outdoor furniture) or in the bathrooms, do not hang to dry on indoor furniture.
Each guest must also be willing to sign a waiver and release for liability for use of our property and any equipment on it. We will send you the waiver for electronic signing when we start the process of exchange agreements.
Other than that, please just generally be respectful with the house and furniture and enjoy your stay!
