We are a couple in our early 60's who usually travel with our adult daughter Natalie who is in her 30's ( this year we may like to include our 2 grandchildren for the summer)
We love experiencing other cultures and 'hotels' are our pet hate - hence the home exchanges!
Wane is originally from the Caribbean and works in the building trade - as our home shows, he is skilled at recreating original Victorian features . Mary has a background in Social Work and has recently retired (yikes!) from lecturing in child care. While our own three children were growing up we use to care for an additional two foster children hence had a 'house full' or should it be a 'full house' ! We now have five grandchildren that keep us busy so have a very child friendly home.

Descrizione della casa che offriamo
We have to offer a lovely large child friendly Victorian house on the outskirts of London. Here you will have the best of both worlds, with a short bus/tube journey into central London whilst the glorious Essex countryside beckons on our doorstep. We welcome both families and couples, and are happy for you to bring friends /family to join you on your holiday here, as we can accommodate up to 11 + people comfortably.
We are travelling the world via Homelink ! So far have managed San Francisco, San Deigo, Florida, Hawaii, France , Israel , Thailand, Scotland and lots of places in the UK
All previous exchanges have been totally successful, you too can enjoy our home and the hospitality of our neighbours, who will make you feel very welcome if you have time to relax in your busy schedule.
We will happily care for your cat.

We live in a conservation area, the Aldersbrook Estate which is on the outskirts of London . The area is secluded and the neighbours are very friendly and helpful . We have open land with a lake at one end of our road and a lovely park the other, with a small kiosk selling light refreshments.
There are easy train links into Central London via Manor Park Station ( a 10 minute walk ) and the London Underground at Wanstead ( a 10 minutes bus ride in the opposite direction). Wanstead itself still has a village feel with ample cafes and eateries , as well as three small supermarkets (Tescos , M&S food and
the Co-op).

Easy links to Docklands Light Railway for Greenwich Observatory , Maritime Museum and Cutty Sark. Central London attractions 20 minutes via public transport .
