We had a fantastic exchange in Avril and Paul's lovely home, which is in a scenic rural area just a few minutes from Strabane and 30 minutes from Letterkenny and Derry/Londonderry. The location is ideal for day trips to many scenic locations both in County Donegal and in Northern Ireland and, for example, The Giants Causeway is 90 minutes away. Lovely weekend in Downings. Stunning views from the house and so lovely to cosy up beside the fire looking out over the sea.

Really enjoyed our time in Downings bay. Paul and Avril were perfects hosts and their house ideally situated to explore this stunning part of the Donegal coast. We found beaches and caves, and had kayaking adventures that we will never forget. Thank you so much

Avril and Pauls home is both comfortable and spacious. It is well equipped with anything i think you could need. It has a lovely sunroom with breathtaking looking south over Downings beaches. The area is also has a huge amount to offer. There are a large amount of leaflets and books with something for everyone to do in the smaller sunroom. We really had a great holiday here and in Donegal and its a place we definitely will be back to. Ards forest park, Glenveagh national park and Malin head, i can all strongly reccommend.

The misunderstanding regarding our arrival day was very well handled by Avril otherwise a great holiday. Only problem for us was lack of Wifi, but luckily found a local Hotspot. We had trouble securing lock box on departure and hope this was easily fixed
