Ladysmith is conveniently located just 75 km north of Victoria, capital of British Columbia, and 35 km south of Nanaimo, the second largest city on the island, so we are well situated for exploring much of Vancouver Island. The town is also close to ferries to the mainland (Vancouver) and to other gulf islands. We are close to golf, swimming, fishing, hiking and wineries. Kayaks can be rented in town, with lessons available if needed. Chemainus with its historic murals is 20 minutes away. World famous Butchart Gardens and the Royal BC Museum are located in Victoria. Duncan, the city of totems, is 35 minutes away.
