Our neighborhood is comprised of row houses and friendly neighbors. Grocery shopping is walkable (1 block to a smaller mart; 8 blocks to a large supermarket). There is a Mexican restaurant, a Basque restaurant/bar, and a gourmet soup restaurant all within a two-minute walk. There is a bus stop on our corner which can transport you to the underground Metro station. The bus that stops at Georgia Avenue, a 5-10 minute walk away, can take you straight into the city. More good restaurants are a 20 minute walk or short bus-ride away. The underground Metro is a 30 minute walk or short bus ride from our corner stop.

The house is located mere blocks from Rock Creek National Park, where you can escape to the woods for hiking, biking, horseback riding, tennis and golf, as well picnicking or barbecuing with family.
