We are an active and adventurous family with a passion for adventure, the outdoors, and nature. We tend to travel to small towns and villages with easy access to historical sites, hiking, and cycling. We love traveling in the late summer and fall, when the days are long and weather is warm. We are mountain people, and typically choose mountainous destinations. Since we are retired, we are flexible as to when we can travel. Our children are independent and usually don't travel with us (though we hope they will join us at times).

SUMMER
Boulder is a charming college town with a population 100,000. It is the perfect size for those who like the convenience of a city without all the traffic and noise of a big city. Downtown Boulder is just 2 miles away - you'll find great restaurants, a farmers market, museums and art galleries and street entertainers on the Pearl Street Mall all summer long. There is tubing in Boulder Creek, outdoor movies and swimming pools, too.
If you're in the mood for a big city, Denver is 25 miles away. You'll find water parks, amusement parks, museums, cultural attractions, music, theater and lots of great restaurants.
Nature lovers will be happy in Boulder! The mountain trail system starts at the top of our street, so great hiking is minutes away. You can watch the deer and fox (and occasional bear) that play in in our back yard. We are 15 minutes to Eldorado Canyon State Park or an hour to Rocky Mountain National Park

Our neighborhood is a quiet family neighborhood. It is a 1/2 mile walk down the street to the grocery store, restaurants, coffee shops and other services. It is a 1/2 mile walk up the street to mountain trails where you can hike for hours. We are up on a ridge so you can see the city lights at night. It's the perfect location!
