A wonderful stay in a friendly house and in a great town with lots to do, to see and to enjoy. We loved the cafes, the shops, the Market Hall, the Flower Show and the squirrels in the garden. Shrewsbury is close to many other interesting places, so we could have done with another week or so..Thank you, Jane and Ian!

Jane & Ian’s home is very comfortable and well located for excursions into Shrewsbury and further afield. Shrewsbury is a lovely historical town with endless points of interest. The Dingle by the river was a super treat. Everything was well communicated and easily organised. Thank you for your hospitality and a very friendly exchange.

Ian and Jane's home is a spacious Edwardian house on the outskirts of the lovely town of Shrewsbury. We felt very much at home there and it was an excellent base for revisiting some places we hadn't been to for years and also for exploring places new to us. Many thanks for an excellent exchange!

Ian and Jane's home is one of the nicest we have had, inside and out. It is about a 25-minute walk, partly along the Severn, to the town proper, with many interesting features, and the train and bus stations, which gave us easy access to Ellesmere, Chester, Stoke, Ludlow, Hereford, and Ironbridge. We continued good communications during the exchange, and it was fun to hear of all the things they were doing in our neighborhood and the Bay Area. Finally, we were very happy to be in Shrewsbury at the end of June and start of July as its weather remained pleasant while London heated up.

We loved staying in this spacious and nicely decorated Edwardian home (huge terrace & flower garden included!) in such a beautiful setting. Ian and Jane made us feel very welcome – with lots of well structured infomations, food, local beer, cookies .....) We thank them so much for their overwhelming hospitality and familiar & warm communication. In fact Shrewsbury is a pearl of a town, with Tudor buildings and squares aplenty, a wide lazy river (ideal for boating), a castle and Shrewsbury Abbey, a former medieval monastery. We loved strolling throughot the town. Shrewsbury is located in the old cultural landscape of the west midlands and therefore in the near and far surrounded by stunning points of interest. Two of our favorites: the old Victorian town at Ironbridge Gorge and the Great Orme at Llandudno (North Wales – Gogledd Cymru). All in all, we spent an amazing time in Shrewsbury and thank you, Ian and Jane, very much for this perfect dream of exchange has been coming true.

We really enjoyed our week in Shrewsbury. Ian and Jane’s home is wonderfully equipped and the information and instructions enabled us to settle in immediately. The location is excellent for touring and visiting sites in Shropshire and North Wales. And it’s an easy walk into town to visit lovely Shrewsbury. Thank you!

Shrewsbury was an excellent base for touring the area. The town itself is delightful and just further afield we found plenty of places to visit, as well as great walks. We were made to feel very welcome prior to arrival, upon arrival and we stayed in touch throughout the week which further enhanced our experience! Thank you Jane and Ian for allowing us to stay in your lovely home. We felt very comfortable, and loved the period features and homely feel, combined with the lovely modern kitchen. Shrewbury and the surrounding area is beautiful. We spent several days exploring Shrewsbury with its lovely period houses, beautiful river and park, castle and museum. We also had excellent day trips to Ludlow, Ironbridge, and North Wales, and enjoyed walking in the pretty countryside. Communication with jane and Ian was easy, we chatted before and during the exchange, and they were happy to give us lots of helpful suggestions on places to visit.

We really enjoyed Ian and Janes very comfortable home and it was great to be able to meet them in London prior to arriving in Shrewsbury. Fabulous exchangees who went out of their way to make our stay both enjoyable and memorable. Thanks Ian and Jane all your care and sound advice.

Hosts Janne and Iam excellent people, from the beginning we connect very well and great communication. His house in addition to beautiful, comfortable and pleasant we found it very clean. The bedding and towels impeccable. We had welcome details. The house is located in a beautiful city. In short, a very satisfactory and recommended exchange. Charming comfortable home with beautiful historical touches, and yet all the modern conveniences. Quiet garden for relaxing or grilling. Shrewsbury itself had many interesting attractions itself – the museum, castle and gardens were all worth seeing. We enjoyed an overnight stay in Wales with a gorgeous drive through Snowdonia National Park. The David Austin rose gardens in nearby Albrighton were at their peak when we visited in late June, and were unforgettable. Ian and Jane provided us with well-organized information about the attractions both near and far, and were available online to answer any little questions we had throughout our stay.
