We spent a fantastic holiday at Martin and Clare's house, we felt like we were at home, it is very comfortable, cozy and well equipped, with everything you could need. Cristal Palace is a very quiet place, with all the necessary services (restaurants, supermarkets, very good public transportation, pharmacy, great parks, and everything you may need) Communication with Martin and Clare has been great at all times, they are very pleasant and attentive. They have provided us with all the necessary instructions for the house and the area. Without a doubt we would repeat the experience.

La estancia en la casa de Martin y Clare ha sido magnifica. La casa reune todas las comodidades que esperabamos y hemos disfrutado mucho en todos los aspectos. El barrio nos ha encantado y hemos hecho muchas excursiones y visitas, los desplazamientos han sido comodos por sus conexiones de transportes. Hemos tenido, como ya es habitual en nuestros viajes a Londres, un buen guia con nuestro hijo Roberto. Nos gusta mucho la naturaleza y nos encantaba ver las visitas de las diferentes clases de aves y tuvimos en tres ocasiones la visita de un zorro. Nuestro nieto Miguel ha teniido mucho trabajo dando de comer a las ardillas en los diferentes parques. No tuvimos la ocasion de saludar a la familia por imposibilidad de los horarios de vuelos. Guardaremos para siempre un grato recuerdo de este intercambio. No nos importaria en algun momento, repetir este intercambio. José, Teresa, Estrella, Roberto, Pedro y Miguel.

We spent a really enjoyable 5 days at the Sambrook home. The house is bright and comfortable. The garden was also a real highlight and lovely on a dry day. We watched parakeets and various small birds feeding as well as the fish in the garden pond. The Crystal Palace area is close to London and we enjoyed the Triangle nearby for shops and food. We also enjoyed a nice local walk to Dulwich Wood and to Dulwich Village nearby. Thanks for the lovely exchange.

We had a wonderful exchange with Martin, Clare and their family. Our communications were excellent at all stages and it was a real pleasure planning and exchanging ideas with them. Their home fully met our expectations -- it was comfortable, clean and exceptionally well-stocked with whatever we might need, especially in the kitchen. The top floor offers impressive views of the central London skyline. The home has a beautiful, large garden that was great for hanging out, including edibles and flora and a visiting fox, and we were provided with such amenities as bikes, table tennis, and many board games. A few streets away is the "Triangle" area of Crystal Palace, loaded with restaurants and interesting shops. It is a 10 minute walk to the Gypsy Hill overground train that reaches Victoria or London Bridge in about 25 minutes and thus is very handy for any part of the Tube system. We've lived in London but they offered suggestions of fine new experiences in their area, such as the Horniman Museum and park and the Dulwich Art Museum. They took great care of our beach home and it was so clean when we returned that we thought our cleaning lady had come, but she had cancelled!

Martin was the perfect host even before our exchange began, getting us to Selhurst Park for an Eagles match. His house is thoroughly modern -- with an interesting history and a lovely back garden (complete with squirrels, birds, cats, and foxes) which was perfect for our 4-1/2 year old granddaughter. Crystal Palace, or Upper Norwood, is a friendly community with resources for everything, including train station (to London Victoria or London Bridge) and large bus terminal making it easy to do something different every day. Brexit caused loads of work for Clare, but she was always available to respond to every e-mail. The whole family made us welcome in their house, and they left ours in perfect shape. To quote the football chant, In South London they're number one!

We felt very much at home in this comfortable house, with a beautiful garden and an amazing view from the second floor. The location combines suburban quietness, nearby shops and restaurants, and easy connections with central London by train.

This is a fantastic place to visit London. The house is beautiful with a nice view of the skyline of London. It was easy to travel by train to the city centre in about 20 minutes. We loved to watch the foxes in the garden during the morning. The communication with the family before and during our stay was really great. We loved it. We felt very welcome and had a great exchange experience. Thank you so much.

The house is spacious, very comfortable and well equipped. The garden is superb and offers a very nice view while having meals. We had everything we needed on arrival. The street is peaceful and quiet but not far from the centre of the area and the train station. The contact by mail was excellent and quick, both before and during the exchange. We had a great time staying there and would be glad to swap again with Martin and Clare if we go back to London.

Our swap with Clare and Martin was just perfect. The immaculate house is very beautiful: very well equipped, very well decorated with a big and groovy garden. The family even has a pond with fishes. From the spacious parent's room with bathroom, we have a fantastic view over London. It was great to relax in this comfortable and typical house after visiting the monuments in the city. We took subway (easy to reach all destinations) or the bus 3 at five minutes on foot which go directly to Trafalgar Square. Very practical at day or at evening. Crystal Palace is a pretty area with pubs, several differents restaurants and shops. You have the choice. We had an excellent communication with the family before and during our holidays. The kids were enchanted too. Go there If you can. It is the home of true gentlemen.
