I'm a single professional in his early 60's living on my own and working in the software industry. I was previously a Bandmaster in the British Army and spent 3 years as part of Her Majesty the Queen's Royal Fanfare Team. Having served for 16 years I returned to University in my mid 30s to study Computer Science. These days I live a quiet life sharing my time between the beautiful county of Cornwall in the UK and my special place in the sun of Tenerife. I'm lucky enough to be able to work remotely so can be flexible on where I work from most of the time.

I plan to travel on my own but will occasionally want to bring my ex Band Sergeant Major along if the swap is to the USA and is to include lots of golf and watching American Football. We are both keen golfers and ardent Football fans (Chicago Bears and Washington Football Team). On some exchanges I would like to be accompanied by my girlfriend who is in her 50's and works in education and is also the clerk for her local Parish Council.

Nick's condo is conveniently located near restaurants, shops, and beaches––and quite accessible by public transportation if you don't rent a car. There's a nice walkway that's perfect for a stroll or run, and it takes you quite far to other towns to explore. The building's pool and Nick's terrace are great places to relax. The climate in Tenerife could not be better: sunny, warm, and dry! Thanks for your hospitality, Nick!

It was a real pleasure to stay in Nick's apartment in Tenerife. It is very well kitted out with a proper fridge and freezer, big TV and excellent wifi - it really was a home away from home. It's in a great location just a short drive from the airport and well located within the resort with a few of the sea and a short walk to a beach, supermarket, pubs and restaurants. The pool is great and well maintained by the management company. Nick was brilliant with the communication and made me feel very welcome. I would 100% recommend this for any swap and would go again anytime!

Looking for one or more exchanges in late July/early August to Italy, Spain, Morocco, Egypt or Southern France. Simultaneous or non-simultaneous. Please get in touch.

A modern style 1 bedroom apartment comprising open plan Living room/kitchen, shower room with large walk in shower, double bedroom with built in double wardrobe and a good size private terrace with a sea view over looking the golf course.

The living room has a large leather sofa bed and a large flat screen TV with IPTV box providing access to almost all channels from all countries worldwide, including thousands of movies. Wi-Fi access (50mbps) is also available in the apartment and a google echo.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor but easily accessible as it's all on one level with lift access down to street level just 10 metres from the front door.

The seafront is approx. 100 metres from the apartment with a wide promenade footpath that runs along the coast in both directions. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants with very affordable menus within a 10 minute walk and the marina is a gentle 10 minutes away.

The apartment is tucked away in a quiet corner of the complex but just a few metres around the corner takes you to the communal pool, the complex run cafe/bar/restaurant and the games area with table tennis table and outdoor pool table. There is daily entertainment available to join in if you choose, adequate parking and a bus stop at the front of the complex providing a reliable and regular air conditioned bus service to other areas of the island.

My apartment is located on the South East corner of the island in the Golf del Sur region of the beautiful sun drenched island of Tenerife just a 15 minute drive from Tenerife's South airport. The all year round sunshine makes it the perfect location to enjoy the 2 Championship standard golf courses both of which are only a 15 minute walk away. The seafront is 100 metres away and gives access to the coastal promenade and a wide range of cafes and restaurants offering a good selection of International cuisine. The water is a clear beautiful blue and is a nice temperature for swimming all year round.

Why not take a 20 minute stroll along the promenade to the pretty little fishing village of Los Abrigos with it's working harbour and plentiful fish and seafood restaurants. Watch the local children laughing and leaping from the quayside into the clear blue waters of the harbour. A little further along the coast brings you to the traditional Spanish seaside town of El Medano with it's lovely long beach of golden sand. It is regularly the home of the kite surfing world championships and on a windy day you can experience the amazing sight of up to 100 kite surfers filling the skies. For the more active why not go sea kayaking or on a calm day rent a paddle board and see the clear blue waters from a different perspective.

With all year round sun and a climate recognised as the best in the world Tenerife is located not far off the coast of North Africa. It's beaches are beautiful and plentiful either with black volcanic sand or fine golden sand.

The Teno and Anaga mountains provides stunning views and the Teide National park (a UNESCO World heritage site) showcases the famous Mount Teide the highest point in Spain and the highest point above sea level of the Atlantic islands.

Food is such a big part of the Spanish culture and Tenerife is no different with its wide variety of restaurants offering a huge range of International cuisine but with Tenerife being an island it's fish and seafood restaurants are plentiful and of exceptional quality.

The annual Carnaval de Tenerife is an amazing event and has been described by many as only being second to that of Rio.

Siam park has consistently been voted the best water park in Europe and as you might expect there are a host of water sports right on your doorstep including snorkelling/scuba, surfing, deep sea fishing, paddle boarding and sea kayaking. Also available within a 15 minute walk are the 2 championship golf courses and green bowls is right next door.

Why not take a drive through banana plantations and visit the Tenerife vineyards to pick up some local wine. It's really quite nice. With the island being quite small everywhere is easily accessible and car hire is very reasonable. Average winter temperatures in Tenerife are between 20-22 degrees and summer between 26-28 degrees which makes it the perfect all year round destination for those seeking a relaxing time in the sun.

I hope you enjoy your stay at my little piece of Tenerife sun. I'd appreciate it if you could leave the place tidy but there's no need to clean thoroughly as I have a cleaning service available if required.

I will usually be travelling alone but may bring along an ex colleague if the intention of my swap is to focus on playing golf and watching American Football. I'm looking for a swap with 1 or 2 adults. Please do not ask to accommodate additional friends / family.
