Zwolle itself has a historic center (800 years old) with a variety of shops and restaurants; even 3-Michelin-stars restaurant De Librije which has its own store where you can buy their products and condiments. The center is 10 minute drive by car or 20 minute by bike or bus. Zwolle has won the "Bike city of the world"-award twice the last couple of years.

There is a lot of things to do in Zwolle: there is a Pathé Cinema with 10 screening rooms, a Game Console Museum, a trampoline hall, a nice swimming pool (with waterslide), indoor and outdoor karting, a bowling centre, quite a few places to play Padel and Dinoland. The city centre has an interesting history with accompanying buildings like the Pelsertoren (part of the old city wall) and the Sassenpoort (a gate).

Giethoorn (Little Venice) is a 30 min drive and Walibi Hollandis also about 30 min by car. Amsterdam is a 1,5 hour drive by car or train and even Cologne (D) and Bruges (B) are only a 3 hour drive away!
Closer to Cologne and Bruges is the beautiful scenery of our part of the Netherlands: within 10 minutes, you are riding your bike between the meadows or the beautiful IJssel (river nearby) or take a look at the heathland on the Veluwe or the Dwingeloose Hei (where everyday before sunset the sheep return to their shed)
