My name is Adrieke, I'm 54 years and am looking for a holiday destination with my 2 girls Danette (16 years) and Karien (14 years).
We are looking for a nice holiday destination in Europe. We do have lots of experience with earlier home-exchanges (not on this site, but good references available if you wish).
We happily live in this house for almost 15 years now - also with my 18 year old son, but he is studying now. We love our neighborhood (shops closeby at walking distance, and beach, dunes, walking areas, woods, Haarlem for shopping, musea and nice terraces at close distance by bike). Also close to Amsterdam, Keukenhof and lots of nice tourist attractions (either by car or by train). If you wish, you can borrow at least 3 bikes.
We have a large (mostly long) garden (7x50m) with lost of space and seats both in the sun or in the shadow.
We live together with our 2 cats and our dog. The cats will stay at home and we would kindly ask you to feed them only once a day. The cats are very friendly and will not bother you and can freely walk in and out by the small cat's door.
Our dog will be staying at another family during our holidays, so you will not have to take care of her.

I'm working as a safety advisor at drinking water company and I am very interested into gardening and sustainability.
In our house you will find separate waste bins for paper, plastic, glass. For organic waste you'll find a compost area in the garden. Our warm water is collected by solar panels (don't worry, once finished the gas boiler will automatically take over!)
In the summer our garden is full of fruits and vegetables, feel free to enjoy those and you'll make me very happy if you will water the plants when they need so. We will provide you with an inflatable swimming pool and a table tennis table in the garden. You will find other outside play stuff in the garden house.
We have four bedrooms with each a double bed. So 8 sleeping places in total. We have 2 full bathrooms at the first and second floor and 2 extra toilets downstairs.
We have wifi all over the house and to a large extent in the garden. Downstairs we have 1 television with cable-TV (and 2 HDMI ports) with a large amount of international channels, a DVD player and lots of DVD's.
Our bookcases are full of books (mainly dutch however), games and puzzles for you to enjoy.
If you like to play music, we do have a piano and 2 guitars available. I'm sure you will handle them with care. The piano is both acoustic and has a silent mode (electric, so you can study/play with headphones on).
