Our neighbourhood is a well established popular area in Cork. It benefits from local cafes, supermarkets, hairdressers, a variety of take-aways and both small local bars and larger pubs, all in a walkable distance. The city centre is a short bus ride away, with the local bus running every ten to fifteen minutes. The beaches of West Cork are just are 20 minutes drive away. The gourmet capital of Ireland, Kinsale, is just a 25 minute drive away. There are many local attractions such as Ballybrack Woods, Cork City Gaol, the Shandon Bells, Cobh, many golf courses and of course the wonderful Victorian Quarter featuring new bars and restaurants. Our home is the perfect base for day trips to Dursey island, Killarney, the Ring of Kerry, Adare (the prettiest village in Ireland), the viking city of Waterford as well as many many more.
