We are a family of 4 and love to travel and experience other cultures. We love the homelink-swaps and will treat your home with care. We have made wonderful swaps, 16 times! Since April 2023 cat "Peppi" has joined the family: He likes guests (they have to cuddle him) and he has been very friendly with small children.

We are seaching for housesitters for the summer 2024 to take care of our cat: From Juli 26th till August 18th! Please contact us!
Hello all,
We're offering our nice sunny house (167 m2) which can easily house 5-6 persons. There are 3 bedrooms, two with a double bed, one with a single bed (all suitable for adults) and a couch for 2 sleepers. Relax in our big living room with with garden view or switch on the projector and enjoy the home cinema. You can use our sauna (for 3 - 4 people) and cool down in the garden with the garden shower or in the bath with tub or shower!
The kitchen is fully equipped (induction cooker, Coffee maschine...).
We're living next to the river Fulda, where you can take a dip and a cycling trail starts (R1). A nice walking trail (with panorama views around Kassel) is just 200 m away. It's very quiet here and you can enjoy our big terrace and our garden. But still we live quite central with Kassel city centre only 8 minutes by car or 18 minutes via tram away. The tram and bus station is 600m from our door. You don't need a car to get around in Kassel! Nonetheless you can of course use our car (Skoda Octavia).
We have adopted a cat since April 2023 - Peppi. He is curious, easily charmed, not shy and likes to be coddled and played with. In the night he rests in his room, in daytime he likes to go out in the garden or stays in the corridor of the house.
Kassel is in the centre of Germany right in the middle of Europe and easily reachable from all directions - by car (Autobahn), via major train lines or by plane. Frankfurt/Main is just 2 hours away and so is Hamburg. You can get to Berlin by train in only 2.5 hours!

It´s very quiet in the district Wolfsanger. You can sleep with the windows open and there is just the sounds of the birds! Enjoy a 5 minutes walk and you can see the whole town at your feet , stroll through the fields and woods starting at the edge of the town.
Nonetheless you are in the city center with our bikes in 15 min, by car in 8 min or by tram in 15 min. The bus stop or tram stop is 600m away. Right next to it is the supermarket with a bakery (fresh rolls on Sunday) and a butcher. Both neighbours to the left and right are quiet retired couples.

Kassel itself has a lot to offer. Culture-addicts, hobby historians, sport buffs, wellness seekers and nature lovers all can get their share: The famous Brothers Grimm (of fairytale fame) lived and worked in Kassel (with an interesting museum) and here is the beginning of the famous "Märchenstraße" along the places where the fairy tales took place. The World Heritage Site "Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe", Europe's biggest mountain park, can be visited or the popular international modern art exhibition "documenta" which takes place every five years and has left its marks all over town. The national theatre with playhouse, dance and opera as well as Kassel University enlarge cultural city life. River Fulda invites you to take a boat trip or a beautiful walk or bike trip along its riverside starting right at our door. Of course you can use our 4 bikes (3 adult-size, 1 for a 12-year-old) and one E-Bike or our kick-boards and skateboards. If you're into swimming, you can use the indoor/outdoor swimming pool "Auebad" (10 minutes away) or take a dip in the river Fulda (5 walking minutes away) or the lake BuGa (15 minutes) next to the park.
