Thank you for the swap, we had a great holiday!

We had a fantastic time in our exchange home. During our first week there was a heatwave, but that was no problem with the lake on our doorstep and the bedrooms were very easy to keep cool. The beach area at the lake is very well kept and supervised; it closes later in the evening. There are good facilities (e.g. changing facilities, a small kiosk, play area). A small fee is charged. There was a large shallow area for non-swimmers, which was perfect for our five-your old (she could stand everywhere), and a further area for swimmers. It was never too busy, even during the hottest days. During our second week, we almost had the lake to ourselves on some occasions. Our children also loved playing in the garden, checking daily for fresh eggs and fresh vegetables, and racing down the hill on skateboards. We hardly needed to go out. During our second week we did explore Lubeck (historic and trendy at the same time - definitely worth visiting), Hamburg and the coast, amongst others, and visited Legoland on a two-day trip. In sum, we had a great holiday in a very comfortable home (loved the waterbed, too!) in great surroundings.
