I am a speech therapist and my husband is an IT manager. We have 3 sons, Titouan 18, Mathieu 16 and Solal 13. I walk with my husband every Saturday in the Beaujolais countryside. Also my husband goes biking at the weekend. I play the piano, my husband plays the guitar and our sons play drums and accordeon. In the evenings we also enjoy watching movies, playing games and reading as you will appreciate from our large collection of books and games.
Respect for the environment is important to us, it is reflected in our life choices for example we use homemade cleaning products. We have a compost and we try to reduce our waste.
we have a lovely cat.

Besides we did many day trips to Lyon and the Beaujolais. The communication with Pomine and Oliver was very easy. they responded very fast. Highly recommendable!

I would recommend a swap to Oliver & Pomine home in the heart of the Beaujolais wine region. We enjoyed many things on our house swap including visiting a number of vineyards in Beaujolais area and wine tasting, we also visited Hameau de Boeuf which was an excellent wine related museum. We also did a number of trips to Lyon where we enjoyed the excellent food and sites in Lyon. We also attended a Lyon football game in the Groupama Stadium. We did a day trip to Vulcania and enjoyed the entertainment. We visited several aquatic/waterparks also. Oliver & Pomine were great to deal when organising the swap with and they responded to all queries promptly.

Descrizione della casa che offriamo

Spacious 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 2-stories house in a quiet area of Villefrance Sur Saône, in the heart of the beautiful Beaujolais region in France. The top floor is dedicated to our 3 sons (who are 18, 16 and 13), and has 2 bedrooms with double beds, and 1 bedroom with a single bed, an ensuite bathroom, a separate toilet, and lots of books and toys that you are welcome to use. We have completely renovated the ground floor with a timber extension; a kitchen, lounge and master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and a separate toilet. We love spending time in our kitchen, which is very luminous, and has a full view of our garden. We have 1 covered car port in the garden, and ample space in the quiet street in front of our house. During the summer, we install an above ground pool (Diameter 5m / depth 1.20m) in our garden.

We live a brisk 10-min walk away from the town center, with a lovely main street with lots of shops and restaurants, and a market place open every day except Tuesdays and Thursdays, where you will find only local produce (fruits and veggies, meat, cheese, fish, etc). There are bigger shops and larger supermarkets, etc within a short drive or on foot.
Our neighborhood is very quiet, we will leave our neighbour's details in case you need any help with the house (that is where our cat hangs out too).My brother lives a 15-min drive away so can also be contacted if needed.

I nostri consigli su cosa non perdere in questa zona

Beaujolais is a historical province, and world renowned wine-producing region of France. It is located north of Lyon, and covers parts of the north of the Rhône département. It is a beautiful region for hiking, biking, wine tasting, sightseeing as well as shopping.
There are lots of beautiful walks and bike trails less than 15-min away from our house, we will leave a book with itineraries,and our bicycles for you to use.
Lyon, the gastronomy capital of France, is 35-mins by car or train. There is so much to do in Lyon, we will leave a few books for you to browse through!
Paris is within easy reach by train, drive to Mâcon (30 min North of Villefranche) and take the TGV train in just 90 mins, you can easily do it as a day trip.
There are various activity parks 30-60 min away; such as the Parc des Oiseaux (birds), Touroparc (zoo), Walibi (attraction park), and Vulcania if you feel a bit more adventurous.
.....and not much further away are the French Alps (Chamonix is 2 hours drive)

Please leave your shoes in the entrance of the house, and let your feet enjoy the newly laid oak floorboards.
There are various musical instruments throughout the house (piano, guitars, drums), we would appreciate if you could please handle them with care.
Last but not least, please recycle your garbage, we will leave instructions on how to do so.
