From our house it's a short drive to Aarhus (20 min) with it's cosy cafés and shopping, forest and beaches, lovely and exciting culture, fascinating architechture and much more - let me just mention Moesgaard Museum, Aros Art Museum, The Old Town, Tivoli, Natural Historic Museum or the public library at the very harbor Dokk1 and more. Heading South you can go to Legoland (50 min), and nearby you can canoe or kayak on Gudenåen (14 min). If you are on foot you and your family can walk on paths in our neigborhood and se deers, goats and ducks and many other birds on the very close Svanesø, or go on a 20 km roundtrip arround Skanderborg Sø (Lake) and make a stop and go for a swim in the clean water.
