We live in a 10 year old brick 3-floor townhouse just west of the downtown area of Ottawa, the country's capital. There are 2 bedrooms with a queen and double sized bed, respectively. Each bedroom has a separate full bathroom. The ground floor includes a den/office and powder room. On the 2nd floor is the living room, dining room and large modern eat-in kitchen. The 3rd floor has the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. A small walled patio/garden is at the back of the house with a table, chairs and BBQ. It was recently re-landscaped. There is a large balcony off the kitchen. Parking for one car and a garage are at the front of the house.

There are many shops and cafes 5-10 minutes from the house. Also close by are parks, a large arboretum, extensive walking/cycling paths, and an express train/bus service. A 10-minute bus ride gets you to the centre of the city and numerous museums and galleries of international reputation.

On the weekends from spring to fall there is a farmer's market in the neighbourhood.

Ottawa is a beautiful city with a vast cycling path system, waterways and other scenic spots.

Our preference is to stay in a town or city from which we can easily explore nearby surroundings. We are also open to visits to villages and country homes if a car exchange is available. We enjoy hiking, cycling and visiting historic sites.
