Tim & Elsie were brilliant before & during the house swap. Communication was excellent from the start, and we, therefore, felt very comfortable leaving our house with Tim & his family. Their house is lovely! It's very modern, clean, and tidy, with everything that you need. The area they live in is great, too - it's a very safe, quiet and a lovely neighbourhood. When we stayed, at the bottom of their garden (separated by a fence) was a large field of sunflowers, which was beautiful. The garden is fantastic for children and adults, and when the sun is out, it's great to sit and chill out. They have two chickens which were super easy to look after (and really fun). They also have two adorable cats, who gave us lots of love whilst we were there. They left a brilliant house guide, giving detailed instructions about their house and also some fantastic suggestions of things to do locally. We had a mixture of weather but still found plenty to do in the area. There are some lovely walks, lots of great swimming pools (plus lakes) to swim in, theme parks etc, plus Antwerp & Brussels. We especially enjoyed visiting the B-Mine & C-Mine, which are old coal mines now converted into really interesting creative hubs, with museums, climbing walls, cinemas, etc. Tim & Elsie took excellent care of our home and our cat. When we returned home, it was as clean and tidy as when we had left. This was their first house swap as a family, and we would highly recommend a swap with them. They are a lovely family, and it's a very nice part of the world to explore.
