Spacious cosy home in historic Warwick (Royaume-Uni - Warwickshire - Warwick)

Notre Livre d'or

  • It's a lovely house 12 minutes walk from the town centre, everything you'll need and more. Very obliging exchange partners ! Thanks.

  • Spacious, comfortable and peaceful home

Simon and Jane are organised and helpful. They helped us to arrange the exchange as it was our first exchange for some years. They kept in close touch which reassured us. Everything in the house works and it is a comfortable, relaxing place. The house is in a very quiet, peaceful location but within easy walking distance of the town centre and Leamington Spa. We were impressed not just with the house but with Warwick too. A real sense of community. We are very pleased to say that Simon and Jane took good care of our house (and cat!).

  • Peaceful setting close to medieval city

We had a brilliant stay in this fabulous house and garden, just on the edge of the city. It’s perfect for exploring both the city and the varied surrounding countryside. Simon and Jane were ideal exchangers, thoughtful and efficient. Thank you both.

  • unexpected Warwick, marvellous!

Simon and Jane were very kind and welcoming to us. The house was clean and equipped with everything you need, it's located in a beautiful neighborhood, it's a big ancient cottage with garden, near the center of the city and bus stop. We always had simple and quick communication. We discovered a beautiful english area, we had relaxing walkins, we visited Birmingham, Coventry, Stratford upon Avon, Leamington spa. Simon and Jane are really friendly and helpful

  • A great week in Warwick at such a lovely location. Plenty to do and see including lovely walks along the river and canal and a trip to nearby Stratford to see Cymberline at the RSC. Simon and Jane were very helpful and experienced exchangers. An excellent exchange.

  • We felt really at home in Jane and Simon's spacious and elegant house. Outside the garden was a joy, peaceful, picturesque, and a real sun trap. Not only were Simon and Jane exceptionally helpful, considerate, and full of interesting information about the area when we were making arrangements, but also their close neighbours were kind and ready to help if needed. It said a lot about their close community in the beautiful village setting they are lucky enough to live in. We left Simon and Jane's house feeling grateful for the warmth and generosity we'd been shown and for having such a wonderful week in the Warwick area.

  • Delightful home and welcome

Characterful and comfortable home in a beautiful area. Easy walk into central Warwick, or into Leamington. Lots to do. Nice place to do it. Thanks for the lovely stay.

  • We enjoyed our relaxing New Year exchange

Simon and Jane's comfortable house was lovely to come home to after days out exploring some of our old haunts - Warwick University where we met in1975, Leamington Spa, where we lived in student houses, Kenilworth and Warwick. Restaurants and pubs in town were good, and the Light Trail at Warwick castle was worth the admission! The super king sized bed was much appreciated too, very comfortable.

  • Lovely, old home very close to Warwick centre

We throroughly enjoyed our stay in what was beautiful home, in a quiet street, despite being within 10 minutes walk of the castle. A great spot for exploring Warwick and its surroundings. Highly recommended.

  • excellent homeswappers - 100% recommendation

We changed houses, cars and bikes with Jane, Simon and Ed. Our family passed great days at historic Warwick, a lot to do in the region. We visited Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Birmingham and a lot of National Trust buildings. The historic house was big, clean and well organized. We also went on a road trip to South Wales. We could recommend Jane and Simon 100 %. They are easy to communicate with. Everything passed to our satisfaction. Thanks again! This vacation was one of our best homeswaps.

  • Lovely home - quiet but near the town centre

We had a very enjoyable long weekend in Simon & Jane's spacious and interesting old house. They were communicative and keen to make sure everything went well for us. Nearby St Nicholas park proved popular with the children, and Warwick is a great centre for exploring the local area.

  • Characterful house and delightful private far

We loved our first trip to the Warwick area. Simon and Jane’s house was quite unique and extremely convenient for the centre of Warwick, just a 10 minute walk. The highlight for us was the visit to Hidcote gardens only 40 mins away in the beautiful Cotswolds, but we also enjoyed visits to several other National Trust properties amongst other things. Simon and Jane were excellent hosts, easy to deal with and left us a generous selection of goodies on arrival - an excellent exchange.

  • Beautiful, historic home

We had a lovely weekend in Warwick. Simon and Jane's home is in a fabulous location, really close to the castle and the historic centre of Warwick. The house is roomy and comfortable with a lovely garden and is very relaxing. We completely chilled out and we'd love to go back!

  • Simon and Jane were extremely easy to communicate with prior to and during the exchange. Their home was warm, welcoming, and comfortable in a gorgeous olde worlde setting. Warwick Castle and centre a 10 minute walk from the house. We really enjoyed the Xmas lights walk round the castle, visiting Stratford, Coventry and Leamington Spa. A great 5 day exchange in a wonderful home and setting. Thanks both.

  • SImon & Jane, thanks for such a comfortable and interesting stay. We very much enjoyed the local sights and countryside walks. It was a very enjoyable break.

  • First-class House Exchangers - August ,2021

A fantastic exchange in a beautiful, interesting house & garden. A short distance from the River Avon, Warwick Castle and the town centre, but in a lovely quiet location. Lots to do in and around the area with a large beautiful park nearby and plenty of National Trust properties to visit. The walk from the Park to Leamington Spa is highly recommended. Thanks Jane & Simon for a lovely week in your house, you will always be welcomed back to Shrewsbury.

  • Home from Home

Simon and Jane's house is lovely. A stone's throw from the River Avon and Warwick Castle, and short distance from the town centre, but in a lovely quiet peaceful location. Lots of suggestions for days out, and good recommendations for eateries. Simon and Jane went the extra mile, digging out their son Ed (21) 's toys from the garage to entertain our two year old grandson who stayed just for the weekend. Much appreciated.

  • Lovely home and garden quaint and comfortable

Super house and garden, lots to do;: went to Kenilworth castle, Coventry Cathedral, Stratford on Avon, Leamington Spa, walked Edge Hill battle site and Hatton Locks on Grand Union canal, (we had previously visited Warwick castle, or we would have visited ) lots of pleasant pubs and cafes, riverside and canal side strolls for lunches as well as meals in their quiet walled garden.

  • A truly delightful exchange!

The home was in a delightful setting within walking distance of Warwick town centre and park and we were welcomed by a neighbour on arrival. Thank you for the local information which was useful and we would highly recommend this exchange offering lovely accommodation and an interesting historic town to visit.
