  We had a really good time in the confortable house of Yvonne and Willy. The garden is really amazing with so many different plants and flowers. We enjoyed the the beach, go swimming, walks and the discovery of Oostende and environment by bike. The tram station is not far away, so we used it a lot for the other well known towns by the sea like De Haan, Middelkerke and Knocke. Brugge and Gent, very interesting flamish cities with canals around and interesting architecture, are worth to be visited. We also could recommend the Ensor museum and the swimming pool near the Koeniginlaan in Oostende. Thank you very much for this swap, Yvonne and Willy.

  Nous avons apprécié la petite maison d'Anne- Marie et Willy, proche d'Ostende, mais juste a coté de Bredene en fait. Pour aller à Ostende centre ville, il faut prendre la navette fluviale , ou y aller en voiture, ou à vélo. Pour aller jusqu'à la mer, il faut aller au bout de la rue, monter 75 marches et les redescendre pour accéder à la plage, c'est très proche ! La rue est vraiment très calme, le jardin est sublime. Soins aux animaux chat et poules, pas très compliqué. Nous avons fait beaucoup de balades à vélo dans les environs et nous avons été jusque Bruges à vélo aussi (un vélo est prêté par Willy, nous avions amené le nôtre aussi). Nous recommandons donc cet échange pour vos futurs séjours en Belgique.

  Thank you Willy and Yvonne for the perfect exchange this summer! We had a wonderful time in your cute house and enjoyed the beautiful garden a lot! Although it was a strange time with Corona and everything, we felt safe and comfortable at your place. A special thanks for your good conversation all the time before AND during the exchange!! We felt connected in a good way - always got the best recommondations and help from Willy online! One can feel the experience you have in exchanging, thats good. The house is perfect located to explore Belgium. You can go eveywhere in just short time. So we visisted for example Brugge and Gent, both amazing cities! But also going to the sea is so easy! Its just 500 meteres and there you are at a perfect beach for swimming and walking and having a sundowner in the evening. Its exactly at this part of the beach, where there is nature and not only buildings and bars...we are more looking for nature than entertainment, so that was perfect for us. We had all we need in short distance and took the bikes to explore the area around as well. And even visiting north of France and Zeeland (Holland) is easy and worth going! We had some great days also visiting small villages at the coast in these countries as well... So it was really a pleasure to stay at your place. All the best for you! Greetings from Iris and Andreas
