Our apartment is found in the trendy neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg. "Visit Berlin" says: city life is particularly charming in Prenzlauer Berg with its buzzing cultural scene and legendary wealth of bars surrounded by 19th century buildings. There is not more to say: we love it here. There are lots of things to do (a shopping center, a large variety of bars, pubs and restaurants are in walking distance, the famous Getsemane church where the peaceful revolution started in 1989 and of course Mauerpark with a great flea market and open air karaoke on sundays).
The Metro (U2), tram (12 and M1) and suburban train (S 41, 42, 8, 9) is just around the corner and operates all night (on weekends).
You will find out that there are a lot of young families living in Prenzlauer Berg which brings the right mix for living in this neighborhood (we call it "Kiez").
