Description de notre maison d'échange
Our home is a large comfortable 1930's period house with many original features and character. It is situated on a quiet, safe and wide tree-lined road in
the Preston Park area of Brighton. Within easy walking distance are local shops, cafes, a pub and supermarket. There are buses close by to the city centre,
seafront and towns along the South Coast. Preston Park railway station and its main line connections to London and all parts of the UK is a 10 minute walk.
Our house is on two levels with a drive at the side to park in. The ground floor is oak-boarded from the hall with a w/c, a lounge with an open fire smart TV, large kitchen diner together with a separate dining room opening onto a patio with landscaped garden including a pond. Upstairs are three comfortable double bedrooms and family bathroom.

Quiet upscale, safe family neighbourhood close to buses, train station, parks, golf course in a lively picturesque family friendly city. Preston Park rail station 10 minute walk with trains to London under an 1 hour. Close to bus connections to city centre, seafront and South East England.
Brighton is an historic, lively, inclusive cultural centre and University city. As a charming and picturesque metropolitan area there are weekly and daily events concerts, music, theatre, arts, clubs throughout the year events and attractions for everyone. More information at: www.visitbrighton.com
Local shops, supermarket and regular buses to city centre/beach close by parks/playgrounds and take-aways/pubs within 10 mins walk.
Walking to the city centre is 30 mins or nearby bus 20 mins bus to seafront, beaches and marina. Gatwick Airport 30 mins by car or train, coach to London Heathrow's
five terminals is 90 mins coach or train. There are regular coach and train links to the rest of the country and Europe. EuroStar with connections to France, Belgium and Holland departs from St Pancras Intetrnational station London.
Close by is the DFDS ferry service from Newhaven to Dieppe is 35 mins by local train.

From our comfortable house the rolling South Downs National Park at either Devils Dyke or Ditchling Beacon for walking or rambling are nearby and accessible by either a car or bus. Beautiful East or West Sussex towns and pcturesque villages with restaurants or pubs serving good food, English wines, beers, ales and cider are all enjoyable using local transport.
Seven Sisters National Park & Friston forest for country walks. Historic castles and National Trust houses and gardens are located throughout Souther England.
EuroStar with fast and comfortable service to Paris, Belgium and Amsterdam departs from St Pancras International London (1 hour) from nearby Preston Park station
Regular ferry crossings (4 hours) from Dieppe, France to nearby Newhaven Port 35 minutes by train from Brighton Station.
