We are both lawyers but don't let that put you off - we are both housetrained. We lived in London until a few years ago but we still have a home there. We like the theatre, opera, music and visiting galleries. We have a Springer Spaniel called Lily who has her own passport for holidays in France.

Notre maison
Description de notre maison d'échange
This is a modern first floor flat built 12 years ago in a mixed development. We use the property most months to enable us to go to the theatre, opera and art exhibitions. It is light and is well furnished. It is about a seven-minute walk to both a train and underground stations and similarly to a bus stop. A car is unnecessary but there are two car hire companies close by. In the Westfield Shopping Centre, there is a Marks & Spencers and a Waitrose for food shopping.
Also, Portobello Market is a fifteen-minute walk through some of the loveliest streets in London. Holland Park is a similar distance away with its formal gardens, tennis courts and in summer Opera under a canopy.

Description de notre quartier et ses alentours
This area of west London is typical of the multicultural nature of the city. It is close to a major shopping centre (Westfield) and has easy access to both underground and bus services to all the major tourist sites of London including Theatres and Art Galleries. It is also convenient for the railway lines to Heathrow and Gatwick. There is a small park to the front of the apartment block, which faces south. To the rear is light industrial area for fashion and media companies.. Hunt Close is a no through road and in the main the area is quiet.

This is London; where does one begin? All the major tourist attractions are within a short tube or bus ride away. Closer to the apartment there is Portobello Market, famous for antiques and bric a brac but also a food market for residents. Holland Park has a Japanese Garden, a cafe and a restaurant and in summer Opera is performed under a canopy. A little further afield is Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park with its Palace, Cafe in the Orangery, the Diana Memorial Fountain and the Serpentine Cafe.
