Our home is new, we moved in in Dec 2012. It faces direct north and catches all day sun. It is all electric with all mod cons, wi-fi broadband, pet free home, use of bicycles, heat pump and free to air tv. Ten minutes drive to Queenstown International airport and shoping centre.
Queenstown is NZ's number one holiday destination with amazing activites and things to do, from jet boating, dining out in some of the many restaurants. Lake trips on the Earnslaw (grand old lady of the lake) shopping, lake and river fishing, travel up the gondolas, dine out and enjoy the amazing views over Queenstown, the lake and the Remarkables mountain range.
The view is truly remarkable. Travel to Arrowtown and wander down the Main St and enjoy the shopping in this historic town. Visit the arrowtown museum and check out the history of gold mining in the arrow basin.
Travel to Milford Sound via Te Anua, on one of the many coach buses that travel through each day which includes a trip out on the sounds. This is a full day trip and booking is essential. Many walking tracks one to three days+ Drive through the Kawarau gorge to Central Otago and visit the vine yards and wine tasting. Stop in at the new Highlands motor sport museum and car racing track at Cromwell.
The autumn tints in Central Otago are high light of a trip to the south & a photographer's delight.
Queenstown and the Lake's district has an endless number of things to do and sites to see. We can send a selection of tourist pamphlets for you to look over and plan your time in the south.
