Mary and Edel are the perfect exchange partners. We enjoyed the thoughtful goodies left for us along with a tasty first evening meal. We spent a lovely long weekend in their cosy, clean and very comfortable home just outside Cork city. It's also close to a lovey lough where you can sit and watch the various birds come and go. Very handy for a nice walk into the city and home again. In the city, we enjoyed the English market and a visit to the Crawford gallery. We also visit Kinsale and various other small villages around West Cork where the scenery is second to none. You are guaranteed a great stay if you swap with these lovely ladies.

We just spent two lovely weeks in Mary and Edels house in Cork and are happy to give it all our best ratings. Mary and Edel gave us a lovely welcome dinner on our first day before they left for Malmö/Sweden. This gave us the opportunity to familiar ourselves which led to frequent contacts during the two weeks. They really listened to us and more specific our intrerests on what we wanted to see and do. The house fully meets all expectations and is well situated only 30 minutes walk to downtown of Cork. Around the corner there are two quite large supermarkets with excellent opening hours and of course a pub, The Hawthorn, with good foods and drinks. 3 minutes away is the bus which takes you to city in about 15 minutes. The town and its surroundings gives you a great variety of opportunities. We took the bus to Kinsale and one full daytour around Ring of Kerry, train to Cobh and Midleton etc. You will get a lot of suggestions on what to do from Mary and Edel. We did not have a car but when we left after two weeks we had friends coming over so we could drive in the western parts such as Dingle with Slea Head Drive and Galway. Back home the only regret we have is that we did not find the time or spot for swimming in the Ocean. Great memories and new friends Mikael and Susanne

We had a great stay in the cosy oasis in the vibrant city of Cork. Their home is comfortable,stylish,spotless,warm and inviting.Their home is 25 minutes walk to the city centre,5 minutes drive from Cork Airport and is well serviced by public transport to the centre and airport. Everything is perfect and both are perfect hosts.We felt very comfortable in their home and we had a great experience.

We did enjoy our homeexchange with Edel and Mary a lot! Their home is nice and cosy and we felt very comfortable. The House is at a quite place, but also not so far from Cork Downtown, which we could reach by Walking or by bus. With their car we explored pieces at the coast, and did see wonderful places. Once we did also a trip to Dublin by bus, which is a very good way to travel there. Edel and Mary did prepare all very nice for us , gave us good Informations and we also stayed in touch during our stay. Thanks a lot ! We do recommend this homeexchange to everybody else, who wanna see Ireland!

Mary and Edel have an amazing house, full of the most interesting pictures, furniture etc. We had a great weekend from start to finish. We spent the weekend there with our three children and we all had a ball. The cats were a great hit of course and the location of the house was just excellent as it is just a short distance into the city centre and right around the corner from The Lough. We really enjoyed our city break with fab restaurants, cafes, shops, markets, theatre etc.
