LOOKING for a non-simultaneous swap in Ireland, last week in July or first week in August 2023.
Hello,
My name is Daniele and I run a yoga centre from my home which is the house I am swapping.
I travel with 2 friends each year, and I loved doing house swaps which is a great way to discover new areas.
I am very much an outdoor person, and love sea swimming all year around, hill-walking, cycling and exploring new areas.
I have found Homelink to be a positive experience, and have done 8 swaps to date.

Read More...Thank you so much for this wonderful two-week exchange! The house itself was large, comfortable and had a cosy atmosphere. Its natural environment was simply stunning, with many wilderness areas within easy reach. Daniele's hiking tips were extremely useful, and the traditional music scene in nearby Dingle was amazing with so many talented newcomers. Several local museums were also worth visiting in order to get a flavor of the Irish culture. We hope that Daniele will enjoy her holidays on the French Riviera as much as we enjoyed our holidays on the Dingle peninsula. Muriel & Philippe

Daniele’s home is beautiful, clean and well equipped with a gorgeous garden. We made day trips to Dingle, Killarney and of course Inch beach, just 5km away. Our children loved the yoga room and held nightly yoga classes for us

Read More...Daniele's house was really nice and cosy! The garden is inspiring, with lots of wonderful little nooks - the neighbouring fields host friendly sheep and the view from the house and garden is astounding. The house is beautifully situated in the Kerry countryside on the wild Atlantic coast, with nearby beaches and harbours for seafari tours. The village Anascaul was truly genuine with a lot of nice local pubs. The drive from Dublin was approximately 5 hours.

Description de notre maison d'échange
Shanti Path, built 2006, is a timber framed, bright 3-bedroomed detached house on half an acre of land on the beautiful Dingle Peninsula. There are 3 bedrooms - two double-bedrooms and 1 twin-bedroom. I also have a yoga room in the house which, when it's not being used, can be turned into a very big bedroom ideal for kids.
The house is very bright and spacious and looks over the beautiful Annascaul Valley in the centre of the Dingle Peninsula.
There is a half acre garden with a small pond and a vegetable allotment (if I get to do any planting this year!) and the views from the house and garden are stunning. There is also an outdoor wood-fired sauna. The beaches are just minutes away, as are the mountains and Annascaul Lake. There are lots of walks close by without the use of a car, or with a car you can go to the fishing town of Dingle and West and North from there to explore the treasures of the peninsula.
The house is wheelchair friendly.

Description de notre quartier et ses alentours
The house is in a rural area on a hill overlooking the Annascaul Valley and surrounding mountains and hills. The sea is just 3 kms away at Bun an OIr which is great for fishing; swimming at 5 km-long Inch beach and Minard Beach (with historic Minard Castle and boulder beach) both of which are 7 kms away. Annascaul Lake is 3kms away, Annascaul Village 3 kms away, Dingle 13 kms, Tralee 25 kms, Killarney about 40kms.
Farranacarraige is a quiet, farming townland with stunning views, on the backroad to Dingle. From the house you can walk to the village, to the lake and mountains without going onto the main road.
There are several pubs in the village of Annascaul, 2 of which serve food, as well as 2 cafes. In Annascaul village, there is also a small grocery shop and post office. There are several places to eat at Inch beach, which is a great place for walking, swimming, surfing and other beach activities. Minard beach is less touristic - ideal for families and my favourite place to swim, especially from the pier.
Dingle is a thriving town with lots to do & see.

Nos conseils pour des restaurants, cafés, shopping et activitiés à ne pas manquer
In the local village of Annascaul, there is a small grocery shop, 2 cafes - one with delicious cakes, a sports centre and a football field, a medical centre, a natural therapist, a small sculpture museum (above the south pole pub), a beautiful green area by the river, cycle and walking tracks, bike hire, a church, several pubs some of which serve food, and a pizza restaurant. See annascaulvillage.ie website for more information. At nearby Inch Beach there is a restaurant/cafe on the beach, a hotel that serves food and Foley's Pub 2 kms from the beach which is very atmospheric and also serves food. There is also a church at Inch. From April to October there are 2 surf schools on Inch beach with surf hire. Inch is everyone's playground in the summer with people playing hurling, football, horse-riding (although there are no horse-riding schools) and all the water sports. Minard Beach is a beautiful storm beach beside Minard castle, holy well & pier. There is a track from Annascaul lake up into the mountains, although you will need good orienteering maps if you want to explore the hills as the walks are not marked.
