It was a luxury to meet Birgit and Willhem and to stay in their wonderful house. Everything has been easy with them and our experience has been to stay in a house of old friends. Spectacular for its grandeur and for its industrial beauty to visit Zollvereim (World Heritage Site!), the Gasométro.... To see the Landschaftspark illuminated at night is magical! Vor dem Tausch hätten wir Mülheim an der Ruhr geografisch nicht einwandfrei zuordnen können, jetzt schon und eine Wiederkehr ist nicht ausgeschlossen. Wir haben uns in Eurem schönen Haus mit dem tollen Garten sehr wohlgefühlt und Eure Tipps für den Urlaub waren famos. Ihr seid erfahrene Haustauscher mit großer Begeisterung, die spürbar ist, auch wenn wir Euch nicht getroffen haben. Vielen Dank dafür.

We had a great time in Birgit and Wilhelms beautiful home and surroundings. The house and garden was perfect after long, warm days of exploring the region. The house is close to a lot of really interested places to see and things to do. Thanks to very informative e-mail and leaflets in the house we never run out of activities. We highly recommand exhanging houses with Birgit and Wilhelm!

Der Pott ist nicht nur einmal eine Reise wert. Besonders wenn man so einen perfekten Tauschpartner hat. Wir fühlten uns von der ersten Minute an wie zu Hause. Es war alles super arrangiert und das Haus ein Traum. Der Kontakt, auch im Vorfeld, war sehr sehr herzlich und hilfreich. Wenn wir dürfen und es sich zeitlich ergibt würden wir sofort wieder mit Birgit und Willi tauschen.

My travel companions and I enjoyed Birgit and Wilhelm's hospitality and comfortable home as well as all the info they provided on their home, the surrounding area, train location and schedules, etc. We loved cooking fresh meals in their kitchen and enjoying dinner on their back patio, walking along the Ruhr and taking a boat trip to Essen, short side trips to Amsterdam's museums and a canal boat tour, Bonn's amazing shopping, Dusseldorf's Old Town, Eltzburg Castle and lovely wine villages along the Moselle. Communicating with Birgit via WhatsApp during our exchange worked out really well. After our exchange we took a Viking Rhine River cruise which I recommend as well!
