Notre maison

Description de notre maison d'échange

Our home, "Vü Condominiums" is a fairly modern (built for occupancy 2010), immaculate condominium apartment (96 sq. m./1030 sq. ft.) in the original old town of York. Theatres, library, cinemas, groceries, shopping and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. Only two blocks away is the St. Lawrence Market (est.1803), voted one of the 25 best markets in the world by "Food and Wine" magazine.

Farther afield, but also within walking distance are TIFF (Toronto Int'l Film Festival) (in September), the Opera/Ballet house, many other live theatre venues, sports venues, and an abundance of restaurants.

The condominium complex overlooks St James park and cathedral, has 24 hour concierge service, fitness facilities, sauna, and a rooftop terrace with BBQs, dining tables and chairs, and a stunning view of the city of Toronto's downtown and waterfront.

Toronto is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, if not the most. Visit and eat in the ethnic neighbourhoods: Little Italy, Little Portugal, Little India, Greektown, Chinatown (3 of them), etc.

The Vü condominiums occupy an enviable location in downtown Tor
onto, close to shopping, transit, parks, entertainment, and other factors contributing to the quality of life of its residents. Our neighbourhood has undergone major changes, including the renovation of St. James Park just across the street and the addition of safe cycling infrastructure on several local streets.
Explore other areas of the city: the unique Distillery District, the Beach, Queen Street West, Bloor Village West, the Eaton Centre, Millionaire Mile on Bloor Street, west of Yonge Street.

Public transportation is one block away. Visit our museums, art galleries, and the Toronto Islands, many of which are within walking distance.

This is the place for people who enjoy city living.

Close by, for walkers, bladers and cyclists, is the Waterfront recreational trail, about 25 km of trails along Lake Ontario and connecting with trails along the Don and Humber Rivers. Also connect to the Leslie Street Spit, a landfill project jutting into Lake Ontario that has been allowed to naturalize over the years, great for walking or biking with about 12 km of trails.
