Attractive, friendly town convenient to Toronto, Niagara Falls, Bruce Trail, Lake Ontario.
Our picturesque town is set in beautiful, gentle hills, just 40 min from Pearson International Airport & exciting Toronto city centre. 90 min to Niagara Falls . Historical restored native village (Iroquois) nearby. Hiking on the famous Bruce Trail, Artists, Music and Theatre, restaurants, sports, historic downtown area. Great walking and biking trails in town.
Toronto has CN tower, galleries, museums, waterfront, vibrant world cultures. A very safe city for walking; available by public transit.
All of our neighbours are very friendly and willing to assist you in any way. There are activities for all ages available. Our town is clean and green, with many attractive and charming cafes, shops and historic sights. We know you will enjoy the true Canadian experience here!

Description de notre quartier et ses alentours
Georgetown/Halton Hills is a picturesque town set in beautiful, gentle hills. It is only about 40 minutes from Pearson International Airport and the exciting Toronto City Centre. We are 90 minutes drive from Niagara Falls and the USA border. Two hours driving to the north and you can tour the beautiful Georgian Bay and the lakes and forests of Muskoka. Canada's capital city, Ottawa is about a 5 hour drive to the east.
Our neighbourhood consists of private single family homes and is a safe community for children and for walking/cycling through the neighbourhood. We are only a short walk to access the Hungry Hollow Trail system which follows Silver Creek through the heart of Georgetown for a distance of several kilometres. Within 15 minutes drive the famous Bruce Trail can be accessed from many different points. In town there are many local artists, music and theatre, good restaurants, parks, shopping, summer farmer's market and a cultural centre/theatre/library complex.

Our home is in the region of Halton Hills Ontario. We are within easy driving distance to Toronto, Niagara Falls, scenic villages and conservation areas, including the Iroquoian pallisaded village at Crawford Lake Conservation Area. Our town has a historic main street with colourful shops, artists, restaurants and theatre. There are also great sports facilities and hiking trails within walking distance.

We welcome a family of 4 - any ages. Great backyard garden for games or bar-b-que, or just relaxing on a lounge chair. A non-simultaneous exchange is available from June through September.. Our neighbours are all friendly and offer instant assistance if needed.
