A lovely home in a great position
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Lorne in this very comfortable home. Communication was excellent and the hosts were very welcoming. Thank you so much Will and Eva.

Our children are grown up and we are enjoying being close to our 5 (soon to be 6) grand children. Our favourite destination abroad is Europe and the UK.

Notre maison
Description de notre maison d'échange
Our holiday home is on the famous Australian Great Ocean Road. It is in the beautiful village of Lorne which has a magnificent sandy surf beach at the front and a rich hinterland of Australian bush (forest/woods) at the back. The home has great ocean views and is only 100m from the beach. It is a 15 minute stroll along the beach and over the swing bridge to the centre of town with its many restaurants, cafes and trendy shops.
The house is surrounded by a native garden alive with birds and the occasional visit from a koala, echidna or kangaroo.
There are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a modern kitchen and BBQ facilities on our large balconies. It is a great place to relax, go fishing, play golf and generally enjoy the Aussie way of life.

The Lorne village is very busy around late December to mid January. The remainder of the year it is quiet. A 10-15 minute stroll along the ocean beach takes you to the restaurants and shops, including a supermarket. All our neighbours are friendly and most helpful.
