Our stay at Vicki & Laurie's home in Malvern, near Melbourne was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed, comfortable and at home. The beds were comfortable with beautiful linen which afforded us a good night's sleep every night. Bathrooms were spotless as was the relaxed lounge room. The location of Vicki & Laurie's house is great as it is so close to public transport and makes getting into the city very easy. We really enjoyed our stay in Melbourne. Thanks guys!!!!

Vicki and Lawrie made our experience in Melbourne so wonderful! From how they welcomed us, to the maps and tips on getting around, to the well appointed kitchen…all were perfect. The back patio was a lovely spot to relax after a day of exploring and an east walk to either tram or train into the city. We fell in love with Melbourne and wish we’d taken more time to explore the neighbourhood restaurants and shops. Thank you to Vicki and Lawrie for making this one of the best experiences we’ve had with home exchange.

After a long Covid interruption to our non-simultaneous exchange we finally made it to Vicki and Laurie’s beautiful Melbourne home. Such a stunning place and in such a fabulous area, with everything you need (tram, train, shops, restaurants, cafes) all within walking distance along beautiful tree-lined streets with gorgeous historic homes. We were so very comfortable in their beautiful home and so grateful that Vicki and Lawrie were so flexible and able to accommodate us fairly last minute when we wanted to visit Melbourne for a show. It’s a long time ago now, but they were perfect guests too when they stayed in our home in 2020. Hopefully we can swap again with them sometime soon!

We had a very lovely time at Vicki and Lawrie’s comfortable home in a Melbourne suburb recently. It is a non simultaneous exchange for the 4 of us, their portion to be completed at a future date. It was very easy to communicate with Vicki and Lawrie in the months leading up to the exchange. We immediately felt welcomed into their home with a nice book of instructions and tips for sightseeing. We especially liked their train, bus and tram connections for exploring the city. We look forward to welcoming Vicki and Lawrie to our home in the future!

We felt straight away at home in Vicki and Lawrie's delightful house. They had left us plenty of room to unpack our clothes and toiletries, and the house is spacious, sunny and convenient. We loved the large, bright living room with big doors opening onto the courtyard garden, and spent most our time in that space. The kitchen allowed us to cook anything we liked, and Vicki and Lawrie generously invited us to use any of the supplies we found in the cupboard. The house is in a lovely quiet street lined with beautiful plane trees, but only 10 minutes from a major train station, so getting to central Melbourne was easy and fast. Our interaction with Vicki and Lawrie was just as you dream of when arranging a home exchange- we felt we had made new friends.

We really enjoyed our exchange with Vickie and Lawrie . They were so kind and even delivered their car to us at our previous exchange home . They left us great suggestions and lots of information . Everything went smoothly and we felt safe and comfortable . Great people and a lovely exchange home !

Lawrie and Vicki's home was very comfortable & well appointed. We commuted via Skybus from the airport, then train to their local train station & short easy flat walk to their property. The suburb is delightful and full of character homes making evening walks a 'must do' exploration. Grocery shopping was handy with a variety of shops, & parking there was easy. Melbourne is a sprawling city, so when adventuring by car we found my smart phone GPS guidance a huge advantage. Commuting to the central city is best by train, with excellent service to their local station. Lawrie & Vicki are a lovely, easy going couple, & our communications both via email and Skype made our exchange relaxed. Our home was in perfect order upon our return & our affectionate cat Ponti contented & happy. Melbourne is an exciting city in so many ways with diverse offerings for all travellers. We would happily add our commendation to an exchange partnership with these Homelink members & repeat our exchange.
