Nice holiday in Göttingen
We had a nice and relaxing vacation in the house of Daniel and Anne. The house is pleasant. It has a great location - you can walk to the city center, swimming pools are also very close. Communication with Daniel and Anne was kind - they are very nice hosts.

Description de notre maison d'échange
We are now looking for exchanges in the fall of 2013 as well as the spring and summer of 2014. We are retiring at the end of March 2013 and will be able to exchange more frequently and for longer periods. The any time/any duration entry is as from April 1st 2014.
<br>Spacious modern terraced townhouse in lovely, medium-sized, historical German university city within easy walking distance of city center (many sidewalk cafes and restaurants, many interesting small shops) and indoor & outdoor "adventure" swimming pools (large water slides, large sauna area); great biking, hiking, and sightseeing; close to Harz Mountains (steam trains, hiking, downhill and cross country skiing in winter, many castle ruins, tourist mines, and much more).

Description de notre quartier et ses alentours
In our 'enclave" there are 14 houses in three rows. Families with and without children are nearly equally represented. Our house is located about 150 meters south of the old city wall. The downtown area is about 10-minute walk to the north, and the indoor and outdoor swimming pools are about the same distance to the south. The city and the surrounding area are well supplied with bicycle paths/trails. On bikes you can be out of the city and in the countryside in about 10 minutes. A number of interesing cities, castles and hiking areas are easily accessible by car or train.

Unser Haus liegt liegt stadtnah und dennoch ganz nah am Freizeitbereich der Stadt. Göttingen ist eine sehr lebendige Universitätssstadt mit einem angenehm jungen Flair und einem entspannten, toleranten Lebensstil. Neben dem Konsum-und Kulturangeboten in der Stadt gibt es im schönen Umland viele attraktive Ausflugziele: hübsche Dörfer, romatische Burgen und Schlösser und historische Städte. Sehr gute Verkehrstruktur: Radwege, Wanderwege, Autobahnanbindung. In diesem Jahr (2017) besonders interessant: In Kassel ist documenta! (DB 20 Minuten, Auto 30-40 Min. über A7)
