Hi, Maarten it was our second exchange with your family and we enjoyed the time at your nice and cosy home and it was as nice as the first time. We love your area. Noord is so great, with all the nice bars, pubs, restaurants and creative spaces. It was very useful to have your bikes, so we could cruise around and we having bike trips every day. We enjoyed our time in the cosy, quiet, old house in the north of Amsterdam very much. The location is perfect. To get to the city centre it`s about a 10-minute bike ride along a very beautiful little street to get to the ferry, which takes you right to the central station. It is also very easy to get to the outskirts of Amsterdam and the beaches in the north. We went nearly everywhere by bike which was wonderful. Close by is a great spot with a Boulder house, Beach Bar and the lovely restaurant "De goudfazant". Amsterdam is an amazing, lively and beautiful city! We also loved Harlem, which is nearby. All in all, we had a great time and felt very much at home in your house. Thank you very much!

Our stay at Nieuwendammerdijke (the most beautiful street of Amsterdam) has been great, your house is very cute and comfortable. We have enjoyed taking care of your cat and we are very happy that you have taken care of our cats so well. Amsterdam offered us a lot to discover and we loved to cruise around with the bikes in the center, along the dykes and the the docks. We are coming home with a lot of great memories and we are shure that we will come back. We are very happy about this wonderful exchange! Thank you Maarten and Eliane!!

The house is in an interesting and quiet old area on the outskirts of Amsterdam. It was easy for us with our teenage children to go to the city center cycling and using the ferry. We were also just 5 minutes from the green countryside. Our favourite thing was exploring the canals and some very pretty villages.
