Beautiful, large family home in a country setting at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the American West. We are located in Northern Nevada 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe, Reno or the old west town of Virginia City with numerous summer and winter activities from hiking, skiing and golf to casino shows, restaurants and shopping.

Our home is large, comfortable and bright with modern conveniences and beautiful grounds and can easily accommodate 6 or more. There are two master bedroom suites with attached bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, two additional bedrooms share a bathroom upstairs. A sunny kitchen, dining area, two living room/family room/entertainment areas and small parlor give plenty of space for gathering or a quiet read. The upstairs has a theater room were you can watch movies on the big screen. We also have a large patio, outdoor jacuzzi, and yard with beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain views. An exchange car is available. This is our primary residence so simultaneous exchange is preferred.

You will find desert sunsets, mountain lakes, wild horses and abundant sunshine year round. We are located close to the California state line and are in a perfect area to explore Nevada and California. San Francisco is an easy 4 hour drive, gold rush wine country is 1.5 hours, Yosemite National Park is 4 hours and there are many quaint gold-rush towns within a two hour drive. Las Vegas is a very cheap 45 minute flight from here.

This is the heart of the Wild West, the TV show "Bonanza" was set here, John Wayne filmed his last movie in Carson City and there is a lot of Native American culture in this area. Carson City is the capital of Nevada, the State museum is here as well as the recently restored V&T Railroad which runs from Carson City to Virginia City, the site of the "Mother Lode" of silver and gold mining.
