Both nearly 60 yrs, Beth (a pediatrician) and Steve (in business). 2 adult children sometimes travel with us, not always. We love visiting cool cities and cool nature. Love to walk, bike, ski, eat out, cook, see museums and sit in cafes, do yoga (ok that one's mostly Beth). Looking for cool experiences.

Description de notre maison d'échange
Spacious 4 BR, 4.5 bath condo in Snowmass Village, part of the Aspen resort area. Walkable to Snowmass Base Village and ski in/out, the free Village shuttle also stops directly across the street. Condo community hot tub, pool & sauna are just yards away. The Aspen area is rightly famous for its skiing all winter and spring, but is also a summer and fall paradise of hiking, biking (road, trail and mountain) and food, comedy & music festivals. The summer-long classical music festival is great, and the renowned Aspen Institute lecture series also runs in summer.
World class Aspen shopping and restaurants are easily reached but our home avoids the noise and traffic. We’re on the quiet side of Snowmass, away from the weekly tourist rental hubbub, but you can walk to restaurants and shops or take the shuttle. Each BR has its own bathroom plus a guest 1/2 bath on the first floor. 3 BRs upstairs with King Beds (1 splits to twins if desired). 1 BR on main floor with 4 beds (one queen/twin bunk and one twin/twin bunk), so we can sleep 11 in real beds. Granite counters, High speed wifi internet plus cable TV and Chromecasts. Second home for us, so its often available. Possible car loan as well (SUV) and bikes available.

Description de notre quartier et ses alentours
Everyone knows the Aspen area for skiing, and its rightly famous for it. But summer and fall might even be more fun here. The weather is amazing, and the whole valley is full of hiking and trails (both flat and mountainous), biking on roads, trails or mountains, fly fishing in the Roaring Fork River and other world class trout streams, and festivals for every type of music including a summer long music festival. Plus food and comedy festivals and the Aspen Institute lecture series. And all without the winter crowds in nicer weather to wander around town.
Our place is on the quieter side of Snowmass, away from the weekly renter traffic. In warm weather we can walk to the base village in 15 minutes, or take the shuttle and be in the Village in 6 minutes. In ski season we can take the shuttle or ski directly to and from the Assay Hill run (ok, maybe some traverse involved there). Tell us how you ski and we'l clue you into our favorite runs at each mountain here.
The condo community (only about 40 homes) shares a large hot tub, its own pool and sauna. Its super quiet here and that hot tub feels awfully good either in the morning before skiing or after it.
Snowmass has a number of good restaurants, mostly casual but a couple of higher end, and Aspen has a huge number of every kind. We'll be happy to point you at some that might fit your taste in either place, we've been coming here for 40 years.

Snowmass and Aspen are world famous for the skiing, and from our home you can ski to the lift or take the free shuttle to the village. But the entire valley area is also a hiking and biking paradise and the fly fishing in the area is also world class. High end shopping in Aspen is also world class though I'm not much a user. But the restaurants are terrific.

We'd certainly appreciate finding the home tidy, though we don't expect you to do a "deep cleaning". No smoking of any kind, despite Colorado's marijuana rules. Please be courteous of our neighbors in terms of noise.
