Nancy and I are looking to retire shortly and we wanted to get started with the idea of exchanging our home for swaps all over the world. We are very fit and are looking for active places to visit where we can hike, kayak and bike in all the beautiful places around the world. Our home in Connecticut provides for an active vacation as the hiking around here to include the Appalachian Trail is a great area for that. We have local kyacking and many bike trials. We love NYC and we visit there alot which is 79 miles from us with convenient rail transportation to the city. Beaches, skiing and music venues are everywhere around here. Our house has great music from our Sonos system

Our 4-bedroom Colonial Style home is just 79 miles North of New York City and there is excellent and convenient rail service to make the commute there easy and fun.
Our home provides a large landscaped swimming pool, ideal to relax in a private setting. The very comfortable vaulted ceiling family room is great for music and entertaining, and the open format (totally updated) kitchen will not disappoint. The 2 1/2 baths have also been updated. Our house is in a private setting but is close by to New Milford, Ct (3 minutes)which has MANY getting out choices.

We live in a private country setting on a cul-de-sac with friendly neighbors willing to help you. We will provide names. We live 3 miles from the charming town of New Milford loaded with restaurants, bars, theaters, and major food stores. We also have several breweries in town for craft New England beer. We are 79 miles from NYC and we often visit using our car or rail. We use the nearby lakes and rivers for outside activity. This is a great motorcycle ride area.

Living in New England there are so many pretty towns close to our town in New Milford Ct. We will provide the names of all the local flavor restaurants, bars, theaters, breweries, and shopping etc in a book we have made up. Bare in mind, NYC is 79 miles from us to Midtown Manhattan which we love to visit as often as we can using car or rail. We feel living here we get the best of both worlds having so many great cities around us (NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Hartford, New Haven) but at the same time having a country home that brings nature and privacy to our lives in a comfortable home
