We are a young family that live organic lifestyle as much as possible. We work as teacher (international school) and mechanic, and love going climbing and playing ultimate frisbee. I am also into photography and earn some money in graphics design. Other than that we are calm and like to keep things simple :)
We love living in Leipzig, but during our maternity/paternity time this year we would like to live somewhere else for a while, ideally on the country side / near nature.

Description de notre maison d'échange
This organic lifestyle oriented appartment is equipped with furniture that are of natural materials only (except parts of the kitchen). The children's room is almost plastic-free with lots of good toys. The appartment is low-tox / low-emissions (schadstoffarm). It has got parquet flooring and the furniture are from real wood as well. The two big rooms have sun during the day, whereas the sleeping room, kitchen and bathroom face north and the calm backyard. That way we can have the appartment cooler or warmer, depending which windows we leave open, during the summer.

Description de notre quartier et ses alentours
Several young families live in our neighbourhood and children of ages 0-6 play in the backyard with a small playground and trampoline. The appartment is near the centre of Leipzig (15 min footway to the centre) and is located in the hippest quarter of Leipzig - Südvorstadt, near the Karli-street. With lots of culture happening nearby and public transport just a stone's throw away. (Car-swap also possible).
The green backyard or the Clara-Park are little escapes into nature, whereas the Forest and the many lakes (with beaches) and creeks (canoing) are within reach of half an hour as well.

The city has lots of culture to offer, and a great Zoo with a gigantic tropical greenhouse.
The nearby Karl-Liebknecht-Straße has lots of pubs and shops (especially alternative ones), and many cafe's and clubs to offer. An organic supermarket is just at a 5 min walking distance. (several regular supermarkets as well)

Within 5 minutes walking distance are many shops, cafe's, bars, clubs, supermarkets, fast food locations and so on. Also the park, the forest, many playgrounds and public transport is nearby. Ce qu'on apprécie, ce qu'on apprécie moins… Voici nos préférences et nos règles de maison.
We prefer clean and tidy living situations, of course. With children little accidents can happen, but as long as no smoking or animal keeping is done inside the appartment, we are fine. It is necessary to water the plants, even though this takes only 10 minutes once per week, and the strawberries on the balcony take 5 minutes to water, once every 2 days if possible, unless it rains. You can eat all the strawberries though, yummy! :)
